MT card Launcher.dat uses the same key, addresses and headers for all the obfuscation stages as gateway and 3DSLink ones so they copied at least that part.

They release their updates usually the same time.

How much more proof do people want?

3DSLink = R4i = Orange3DS = MT card team. Simple as that.

1. 3DSLink, R4i and Orange3DS use the same hardware: PCB 100% identical, components 100% identical, plastic 100% identical
2. Launcher.dat works for 3DSLink, and R4i and Orange3DS. They are all interchangable.

If this does not tell you that they are the same people behind it, then you are just a fool and you fell for their dirty tricks.

I heard a rumor that there were three brothers in China who formed three different flash cart companies and they all used the same master cart and made three different variants of their own carts from the original. Soon after they divided the country into the Three Kingdoms.

Json, I don't understand the link to MT Card. Yes, R4i=Orange=3dsLink, but why MT card? It was mentioned earlier that MT Card used the same as Gateway and R4i - who is to say they aren't Gateway - or just another cloner who has a little bit more talent? I'm not sure we've seen any evidence that links MT Card to R4i or Gateway directly.

XD what?

1. The MT card is using 100% identical components to 3DSLink/R4i/Orange3DS (minus the USB which is new)
2. The MT card PCB layout is very similar to 3DSLink/R4i/Orange3DS, shows it was made by the same engineer. Gateway PCB is completely different, very obvious it made by different team.
3. Emails used by MT card match same ones used by 3DSLink and R4i (See Gateway forum spam)
4. Resellers themselves are even saying 3DSLink/R4i/Orange3DS and MT card are the same team
5. MT card site text even says this: "Due to the design defect of the previous 3DS card with hardware architecture, too much inconvenient problems are coming out." What is their previous card? That's right, 3DSLink/R4i/Orange3DS.

What more proof do you want?

Previous is referring to cards before it like Gateway, R4i and 3DSLink etc.

Nowhere does it say it's THEIR previous card.

Fine, you doubt 1 of 5. What about the other 4 points? You doubt those too?

Ok, I'll add one more:

6. MT card is as experienced as 3DSLink when it comes to cloning, they cloned the same addresses and stages of encryption from Gateway's launcher, just like 3DSLink does. (See mathieulh's post)

I don't care whoever team is behind MT, as long as they do the job well and prove that they can compete or surpass what Gateway has achieved, end users / us are the winners! We have more options competing for the same goal, #justsaying

Ok I'll bite :)

R4i etc. are lazy basterds. They sell old PCB design (v8 design of R4i Gold) and clone software with as less effort as possible (same launcher icons, same encryption, added bugs, ...). MT-Card is hand soldered and probably they tried to copy the layout from R4i. They also managed to change the icons and put some text to the top screen. They show us multi rom in a video that is much better quality than all the other videos from R4i etc. This feature requires some hard work. Look how much time the GW-Team needs to bring us multi rom. And then look how much time the R4i team needs to clone a simple update from GW. This shows they (MT vs. R4i) are not equally skilled.

But there is also the possibility of a leaked multi rom beta from GW.

Yeah, and that's OK. You don't care and that's your right.

But alot of other non-tech people want something that is easy to use, reliable and will be supported for a long time. Revealing dirty sales tricks used by cloners, untested releases, bad support (as in shoddy clone jobs), false advertisement and more only establishes what kind of trust and product you can expect from cloners. In the end we only want to help these non-tech people decide which card fits their bill and what they can expect from it.

Have you read the testing done on the main MT Card thread? Their support is really broken.

It doesn't support Card2 games.
It doesn't support SDK5.X games.
It doesn't even support regular 5.X games; saves get corrupted.

Their main progress was all the changes they did to Gateway's menu. As you can see in their video, the first menu was more similar to GW's and that's pretty much they work since then.

I'm not giving Gateway Team any credit for multi-rom, the fact that they haven't released any demo, beta or updates on it, we can't say they deserve an applause for it.

It doesn't matter what GW has done or not, what matters is that this MT-Card is not working as intended.

Another clue that they may used an old launcher and try to build up from there.

Gateway does not have multirom support yet, but it is coming. They have earned the trust of their users and Gateway has always been truthful with their promises.

I can't say the same about the clones

You should care who is behind the MT-Card if you are considering buying one.

The best indicator of future behavior is past behavior.

If it is true that the r4i and mt-card teams is one and the same and that r4i is abandoning future updates of their r4i deluxe gold in favor of the mt-card, then that means they have no qualms about leaving their customers to rot in favor of better profits.

As someone who is considering buying an mt-card, you should weigh the risk of being victimized in a similar fashion in the near future.

A company that is willing to mar their brand's reputation at the first opportunity on the premise that they can just make a new brand is not one you should be patronizing if you can help it. In the long run it is better to go with a group that cares about their reputation and sticks to its guns when faced with challenges.

The next wave of GW updates will contain changes to FPGA logic, this will make it very difficult to implement the new features on the existing clones. I have no idea how this will affect progress on the MT-card development efforts. As for the CPU on the MT-Card, there is a mysterious 48pin device on the card. This very well could be an ARM clone, but I am only guessing. It is also possible to implement a CPU in logic using an FPGA.

The R4i currently works fine. The rest is speculation.

Its not speculation, people just dont want to see whats right in front of their eyes, all carts besides GW are from the same source, MT is a rebrand as the existing clones wont be updatable, Would you as a team, if you epic failed ?? release a V2.0 cart and expect everyone to buy it, No, you wouldnt, if it was me i would rename it , add a picture of a shark, hand solder the carts myself, use gateways 1.1 launcher as a base, change the menu and splash screen, and lastly employ someone thats actually knows what they are doing to code in some support for a new feature, but most importantly i would market it as having features it doesnt actually have yet....
