I just bought a r4i savedongle and it raises some questions by me:

1- is the hardware capable of dumping the whole 3ds cardridge (the software isn't yet, I know)

and the most important question to me:
why won't a downloaded mario kart save work?
I backed up my own save, downloaded one from the r4i website (just to test it), decrypted and encrypted it and at last i backup it up to my kart. then it says save corrupted ?

I think some people have tried to dump ROMs with it (via custom software) and failed. The hardware may not be capable of doing it, or it may just not be possible with the knowledge of the hardware presently available.

It can't dump 3DS game, only save.
It can dump DS ROMS and saves though.
Maybe it require a hardware revision, the dongle was released for DS games.

I suppose the signature (not the XOR), is console or cartridge dependent if you can't just XOR back the save with your XOR key.

it cannot backup 3DS, it wont ever, we asked teh creators, just not going to happen

games that where pre a certain update work because we had the key for the saves, games that didnt need update 2.1.0-3 irrc
so until thats fixed there wont be any cheats by save swapping of game save editing
(neimod has recently shown a edited Save of Lego Star Wars III)

now i am a little bid confused. It should work with zelda , and it claims that everything was done but when i start it, it also say corrupted save(and some people on the r4i-sdhc.com site claims it worked with their eu game card)

As for the R4i SaveDongle, there are no known commands that can tell it to return ROM data. It's just a basic HID device, with no special drivers, so there may be hidden commands. Only the developers would know.

what about NDS adapter plus ?
is it able to dump the DS games ?
I don't think so. It was looked into a while ago by @elisherer and some others, but nothing came of it.

i didn't mean dump 3DS ROM, i meant dumping DS ROM

Can I transfer a save from a flashcard to a original DSi game using R4i Dongle?
Ex: Pokémon Black 2

yes but depending on the flashcard the save was created you may have to run the save through the SAV convertor (there's an online convertor, google it)

Don't worry, I already have used the save conversor,
If it's necessary I'll use it with no problem.

yes, i have NDS adapter plus and i can move the save without conversion

Thanks for the info :)
