The Switch 2 will be hacked one day. That day may be a decade or more in the future, but it will happen.
And that's the thing. For me, the only real reason for me to have a hacked Switch 2 is so that I can retire my launch Switch 1, which is mainly used for emulation of older platforms. Switch 2 definitely has the power to basically emulate (or run natively) everything made by Nintendo up until now, likely including Wii U, allowing it to be an all-in-one system. If it's going to take a decade or more before that fantasy becomes reality, then I might as well get something else for that purpose.
It's why I've been eyeing the Ayn Thor. I probably would have bought one by now if it wasn't for one thing. Dual-screen emulation with TV play. It's one thing with single-screen gaming because I could connect a wireless controller while the system is physically connected to the TV. Playing Wii U and 3/DS games portably is the purpose of the system, but playing those while connected to the TV is another matter, because my understanding is that there's no way to effectively stream either screen to a separate device for game purposes. Screen mirroring and similar technologies on Android are just too slow and laggy.
