The ASM version doesn't work on emulator, but you can still generate the single row with the item amount/ID and plug it into the old code, so that's useful.
right. im still testing the maindata offset, the only concern is that i would need to program the offset adjustment, and its literally my first auto-adjusting spreadsheet. plus i also quite literally threw this together 3 hours ago (from time of writing).....

ok, let give this a try:
so, i have create a self update code generator, so far only important items is done. but for things like energy chips or frozen pizzas, or specific quest items. just click the necessary checkbox and input the number, the spreadsheet does the work.
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/19ukh9WI1hnvruv_ILvceH4ZR50-O_A-99HQ-pskaoXM/edit?usp=sharing

you should be adjust be change the number in the spreadsheet, but as this is my first spreadsheet, let me know if something is wrong.
aight im dumb... in the spreadsheet i dont see energy clips, i assume alot of ppl used the 255 cheat and got stuck with that...

i see you specifically mentioned energy clips but i dont get the click necessary checkbox and input the number bit

for the marry me basic quest it states:
Gather 10 natural pearls

Question if we are to set natural pearls to 1 lets say incase we used the 255/9999 code. Would that reopen the quest ??

i dont see energy clips
Because they don't exist in the item list, at least under that name. Might be called something else (based on the original Japanese name). There's 68 151 Energy Tube, but that might be something else. Or more likely this is a new Definitive Edition addition and we only have the original Wii U item codes.

All good, just pointing it out. And I see you mentioned there was an error, so maybe it was just that. Nice work either way. Helped me fix the second quest I had issues with, where I needed 4 of a particular item.

its more then likely new item, as its not in the original code... now logically that would mean its like the newest column code, so if original had only 240 items it would be 241... or around there.

the save file i was given has this energy clip bug, besides that its perfection... funny enough ive actually worked with modders/translators before and yet when it comes to coding... nope, i got nothing

edit: oh and @Gamerjin if i was you i would have a master version of the docs you linked, then post a copy of it... that way if someone messes with it in any way (ppl are dicks) you can restore it via the master, likewise you can easily copy paste the master into the public version

seems like i might have soft locked my game, currently at a affinity quest before chapter 8 "The Matchmaker", talking to the pizza dude, cant seem to get the option to proceed.

Before this issue i had soft locked my progress as well, to obtain the skell license i had to choose 1 of 3 quests, i chose the "pip-squeak" quest but got soft locked due to having to get the pizza from the dude. I presume i would have to clear this other quest first ?
any1 able to help with this ? our will i have to restart the entire game ?

the 255 item on viewing/9999 if not have codes cause quests to auto complete most of the time. Have a save prior to important quests/pickup item quests and leave them off to complete it.
If you have them on and it auto completes then its your fault basically.
It happened to me a few times, luckily I had saves prior and just replayed everything up to that point

This code seems to have some problems. Although it can be used, a lot of the results are blank after using it.

no problems for me at all with the all battle items code, It gave me them all and had 2? items underneath which you can sell

There is no problem with using it. It's just that the items have no names. Just like the previous code for the monster compendium, they are shown but the names are blank.

Currently, for the battle items I already have, it will display that there are 50 of them and the names will also be shown. However, for the items I don't have, it won't display their names, and the quantity shown is also 50.

@weilai well for me it gave me all the missing battle items at 50 and 2? items. So it seems all good to me.
I only had like 2 or 3 of the battle items to begin with. So it works

guess my current playthrough is cooked haha, are those 2 cheats the only ones that cause this issue ? if so guess i will just restart my playthrough. really enjoying the game so far

Beware that the Marry Me! quest isn't real: it's just a setup to recruit a certain character. You just need to accept it, and then the next quest is when you automatically receive the pearls (I'm trying to avoid spoilers).

I'm warning people because it may trigger the usual "checkmarks the quest as complete" and potentially bug the save.

already knew that and it is auto completing the quest for the pearls.
The question has been asked multiple times here why quests are auto completing, people are NOT reading it and or asking again etc

We definitely need a code to change qty of all to 1. I'm at Volitaris and one of the six spears requires three keys to unlock a shield to send off the final spear. Unfortunately, two of the three keys have their QTY at 255 for no reason, and it keeps the shield from deactivating.
