So it has really happened now. The USA is one more step closer to a full-blown fascist state:

Effectively this is canceling the rights of the 1st amendment. I cannot believe this is really happening but here we are. The underlying problem is: How do you define illegal protests? What sort of protest could even be illegal if there is real freedom of speech? It's a sad day for the US and the whole democratic and free world. Again: I cannot believe this is really happening. May whatever god you believe in be with you my (last remaining sane) American friends.

If the First Amendment obligates the federal government to fund specific partisan causes rather than banning it from doing so, you need a new First Amendment. Entirely. From the ground up. You're going to pretend like colleges aren't private property that have rules about protesting? Because of the 1st amendment colleges have rules and guidelines about when and where it's ok to protest. Colleges are OBVIOUSLY very open to allow protesting to take place but you have to follow the rules.

Sometimes protests (by radical leftists mostly lets be real here) often spills out to areas they shouldn't like in the middle of a class or inside the buildings or during debates with guest speakers or whatever.

Trump is saying "illegal" protests should be stopped. Which they should. Get a permit, get permission, go to your designated area that's been agreed you'll protest at. Otherwise fuck off.

- a protest that blocks vehicular or pedestrian traffic (without permit)

- a protest in which participants trespass on private land w/o permission, or on public land where the general public does not have access

- a protest that advocates for or incites violence, especially against a protected class (like Jews, for instance, which is what this is mostly about isn't it?)

- a protest which disrupts or interferes with other persons' workplace, or operation of schools

It's basically a "your rights end where other peoples' start" situation. And FWIW as far as general principle I'm in agreement with you guys on this one. But a "protest" that involves a mob chanting "from the river to the sea" outside a Jewish person's house is not a 1st amendment "protest." Neither is chasing Jewish students into a campus library and locking them up in there. And when college administrators allow things like that to happen on their campus without recourse for the students involved, they shouldn't be surprised if there are consequences.

See there's the problem: the orange turd does not give a definition on what is considered illegal protest. If anyone is giving him benefit of a doubt you could bend it like he did mean on private property but then why would someone with a sane mind still give this turd any sort of benefit of doubt? Everyone who is not part of his cult or otherwise completely brainwashed at this point will surely not give him any benefit of doubt and is doing rightly so. This would be something that would need trust and the turd has recently shown more than once that he cannot be trusted. Just watch what he's doing to his friends and allies ... and especially what he's doing to America's big historical adversary. You can only trust people with a sense of morale, ethics and logical reasoning. All of these are things the turd is completely lacking.

In the end the turd thinks he and his cult of grifters are the ones to decide what is legal and what is illegal. You can see this at the way they are actively ignoring the rights of the senate, congress and courts ... except for the SCOTUS ofc, which is infiltrated by his best butt-buddies, already.

So yeah: go ahead and try to paint a good picture of this but be aware that it doesn't make you look smart or strong in any way.
