Just because Mr Trump was thinking aloud infront of millions of people, does not automatically mean that there was scientific discussion behind the scenes. My point was meant to suggest that, as there would also not have been any rational discussion behind the scenes that there were people eating each others pets.

My point was meant to suggest that, as there would also not have been any rational discussion behind the scenes that there were people eating each others pets.

The discussion there was, was that Donald Trump had claimed people had to inject themselves with bleach. Thag was proven to be false. There was also the discussion that the UV light idea was dumb, which was also proven false.

Again, the entire Springfield thing is a completely other debate. It's like saying Biden was wrong 10 years ago, because he couldn't step up his plane stairs. You cannot use two unrelated events.

Not sure what you expected as a reply, but I live in the USA, not Belgium, and I went through Trumps covid circus when he was president. He did say consuming bleach will kill covid on national TV, I remember watching it. Comments like that from any leader of any power is very stupid. That was only 1 of many of his stupid comments. He is deranged, a criminal, and belongs behind bars.

No, it was that in his position as the leader of one of the greatest super powers on the planet, him suggesting that it was interesting idea about using disinfectant internaly to 'clean' people was something worth looking at, is more than enough for people who follow him to try that sort of thing just because he said that. Which they did because the number of people being accidentally poisoned by disinfectant ingestion went up a lot in the few weeks after he said it.

You then suggested that because he said it, it suggests that it would have been talked about before hand by scientists and doctors. I dissagreed and likened it to him talking about Springfield pets, as him talking about that subject, by your logic, would mean that scientists (or some advisors with knowlege of the act) would have had to have been talking about pet eating behind the scenes for Trump to even entertain talking about it on live TV.

Seeing how the media headlined "Trumps tells people to inject themselves with bleach", I would say that's the reason people were dumb enough to do so. A lot of people don't read further than the headlines.

And he had talked to doctors before hand. You know, the conference took place just after the meeting... So your rambling about linking it to the springfield pets make zero sense.
