Another update from UnlockSwitch team:
The prototypes of the two cases for UnlockSwitch PBS and his programmer are finished and approved, with mass production starting this Monday.

Again, these are just the prototypes cases.

The final version will be of higher quality and transparent.

So someone on reddit pointed out that the DNS for migswitch.com and yuzu-emu.org point to the same thing. Nintendo stepped in?

Possibly. In the whois link I posted earlier, the status of the migswitch domain is listed as "pending transfer". Which means it is either being transfered to another domain host or to a different owner or both.

I wonder if I should do a charge back? The store sites are still up which is strange.

Yet another update from UnlockSwitch:

Early next week, we will provide more detailed information on the following subjects.

- Shipping samples to beta testers.

- Information on the start of mass production for the UnlockSwitch and its official release date.

- Maximum quantity available per customer.

- Details about the functionality of the UnlockSwitch and its programmer

- Information about our logistics shipping platform in China for B2C and B2B.

- Launch date and pricing of the Xtractor , both individually and bundled with the UnlockSwitch.

- Selection of potential external distribution partners by country under specific conditions (to be confirmed).

Enjoy the rest of the weekend!
Seems like they'll be ready for sale soon.

I wonder why they used an external usbc programmer, rather than reading the firmware from the sd card.
Easier flashing, since the Unlock Switch is meant to be open-source software-wise. Atm their goal is for it to be compatible with Mig Switch FW, the Unlock Switch implementation and any community developed alternatives. More options also helps with any troubleshooting issues.
v2 + dumper combos start at $125. Why would you expect to get them together for $85?

I honestly thought MigX was the crazy one asking for $105+.

Anyways, just thought I would share for those interested in a v2 and trust AliExpress over the other stores.
Because originally the Mig Switch Flashcart+Dumper was announced as a Bundle for around $60. But then they saw the demand and Aliexpress bulk sellers/supposed clones got into it and here we are

I have a question: since its clear Nintendo has taken the migswitch.com domain will the guy in charge of it just create a new domain under .Ru or .to to avoid stupid Nintendo. Nintendo clearly doesn't understand why game backups are legal in the first place. I hate Nintendo ever since they did some petty takedowns of etika joycons, and etc.

They are getting sued by Nintendo so I doubt the owner of Migswitch will continue anything. Another person got too close to the beehive and got stung. Nintendo just doesn't like the sound of backups even if its for legitimate use b/c it related to piracy in their eyes. So getting clones is pretty much going to be the main target now.

The website was up again for a few hours earlier which is odd

I hope not but Im starting to think the chances of any future orders being fulfilled are getting even lower

People on reddit are complaining about receiving empty envelopes in the mail

Yeah, situation seems to be getting a little sus. I went ahead and did a charge back . Seems like Nintendo is on the warpath. Especially LTT just recently showcased the product in a video.

Yeah, I think the LTT exposure probably accelerated things. Ninty was going to take action anyway but the public awareness of the MIG prior to the LTT video was pretty limited back then since only a few much smaller youtubers covered it. LTT's video brought in a massive surge of attention towards it,

That would explain the sudden and inexplicable disappearance of moddedhardware, even leaving many of their customers with pending orders in the lurch. I hope that they will be able to get their money back but I'm not too hopeful because most of it will likely go to ninty in the form of damages. Many of them are way past their chargeback period and even those that are still within the allowed timeframe, they might not be able to due to a possible court injunction freezing all assets of moddedhardware.

IMO, I think those with pending orders with official sellers should cancel their orders and get their money back before it is too late.

I should point out I managed to find the latest migdumptool.nro here since I have a hacked switch: https://gbatemp.net/download/migdumptool.38552/

Also I tried to load migswitch.com through archive.org there's nothing that loads in the webpage other than the red background.
I had a feeling this was all gonna happen so I wanted to make sure it was backed up lol
