PS: anyone read Japanese? I couldn't recognise it as "Metroid" or "Samus"

That's Katakana, not entirely Japanese.
Used only to "japanize" foreign words/names.

It says: "Hofunenn" but the " symbol in "Ho" and "Ko" makes it "Bobunenn". No idea what it means and third symbol, the one that Samus is covering isn't clearly readable.

I think it's the same case of western people tattooing "Chicken Soup" on their arms.

Unless of course, someone can identify third symbol, it might say something completely different.

It's been over 10 years since I last read Katakana. Hiragana seems easier though.

One of my favorite games ever made. Very happy I got these. Image quality sucks but these are brand new, I don't think anyone ever read it. and it IS ea comic because there is ad every 3rd page, which is insane. if one were to edit out ads, it would be 3-4 volumes instead of 6
