- This is for the translated version, more info and patch: https://www.romhacking.net/translations/1482/
- For the HD Font you have to enable GPU Palette Conversion in the Manual Hardware fixes tab (enable manual HW Render fixes).
- Maybe a very few textures still has a strange red, pink or blue outline (this is an official bug in the game).

Install:
  • Download the latest Pcsx2 nightly build (v1.7.2404 +).
  • Extract the folder to the pcsx2 texture folder (...\Pcsx2\textures\SLPM-65555\replacements). SSD recommended!!
  • Config > Graphics Settings > Advanced tab:
    Dump Textures: OFF | Load Texture: ON | Async Texture Loading: ON
  • Have fun! :)

Would it be possible to create a UI only version of this texture pack? If I use the full pack I get quite a few frame dips, but since I'm playing on a small screen I don't notice much of the increased fidelity. The main reason I installed the pack was to get rid of the blurry fonts and UI.

Easy, just delete every dds files except the UI folder. :)
 
Somehow managed to miss that entirely - thank you so much for this remaster!
 
This is so great thanks! Unless you are a Deborah fan I think this makes it the best version to play :)

Hope to see you get around to the last two dungeons eventually.

Another great pack from Panda! The font/text seems to have a shadow effect (white text with a grey outline behind it) as shown in the below picture. Is there any way to fix this or is this normal?

Excellent stuff, this is making my first play through of DQV so much more enjoyable.

However, I've been seeing some graphical errors, particularly on transparent parts/edges of some textures. I've added screenshots pointing out what I'm seeing. Apologies if this is just something on my end!

I am also getting the error "Disabling autogenerated mipmaps on one or more compressed replacement textures. Please generate mipmaps when compressing your textures” when loading the game.

Hardware: Steam Deck OLED 512gb
PCSX2 version: 2.1.21

Again, even with these little artifacts, the game looks so much better overall. Thanks for all the work you've put into it, Panda_Venom.

Yeah, this is another alpha issue. Can you try this version? Maybe this will fix them.

Thanks! This fixed the visual issues I posted about earlier, but it seems to have introduced dark lines on the edges of some 2D elements that weren't there before, mainly plants. i also found what looks like an original ground texture located in the Squashton Pit (the underground area hidden under a slab in Squashton).

I've finally finished DQV. Playing it widescreen at 4k with these textures made for a great experience, thanks again!
 
Hello !

I'm actually trying to apply the texture pack to the game, but I also got the message : "Disabling autogenerated mipmaps on one or more compressed replacement textures. Please generate mipmaps when compressing your textures".

The texture pack doesn't apply, or very partially, with lots of green dots on certain objects.

I have the V2.1.164 version of pcsx2, and tried with the file Panda_Venom shared with StealFromWork with no success.

My renderer is Direct3D 11, with a NVIDIA Quadro K2100M.

I don't know if the problem comes from my configuration, my settings, or from the current state of the emulator.

If anyone has a clue !

EDIT : I just tweaked a few settings and it worked perfectly fine ; I still get the message after loading, but it doesn't look like there are any big related issues.

EDIT 2 : In case some other noob like me comes by, the setting I changed was the internal resolution, to make it at 1080. Sounds obvious now, but glad I got to understand somes basis of emulation by trying to make it work.
