    Just hold ESC or whichever button to get into the setup, then change the boot option to either the USB or DVD drive.

    yeah well now I have two computers that best solutions to fix are to take it apart, which isn't happening

    General troubleshooting step, but have you tried removing the CMOS battery, removing the actual LiPO battery that powers the laptop, and holding the power button for 10-15 seconds while not plugged in? And then put the main battery and CMOS battery back in
