Starting from firmware V3.2, Add 3 kinds of joystick star ring lighting effects. Setting is still made with the "Set button + D-pad left button". Star ring lighting modes are: Default steady on, Joystick-activated flowing lighting, Vibration -activated lighting, Trigger -activated flowing lighting, Off.

Also Starting from firmware version V4.4, we have added an additional level of vibration intensity. The vibration intensity selection has been increased from the original 2 levels to 3 levels.


Upgrade Method:​

  1. With the controller powered off, connect it to the computer using the provided USB cable.
  2. Press and hold the APG button(double-square icon button) on the controller, then press A button to power it on. A "GuliKit" USB drive will appear on the computer.
  3. After extracting the downloaded upgrade firmware file, copy the corresponding "***.bin" file to the root directory of the USB drive.
After a few seconds, the upgrade will be completed, and the controller will automatically power off.
The USB drive will disappear from the computer, indicating that the upgrade is finished.

Turn On the controller and after the self test, calibrate the joysticks as described next.

The firmware process ends after a self test completed successfully.

Note: The controller will automatically power off after the upgrade is completed. Do not unplug the USB cable before that.

Note2: The controller is equipped with a safe firmware upgrade function, Due this function the firmware will be full functional only after the second reboot of the controller after upgrade the firmware; so if you restart the upgrade process the previous version of firmware is still shown on the GULI.TXT file. Please restart 2 times the controller before check the new version on GULI.TXT file.

If you do not need to upgrade, you can long-press the Mode button to turn off the controller and then press the Mode button again to power it on to exit the upgrade mode and resume normal operation.

Calibration:​

After the upgrade is completed, it is recommended to calibrate the joysticks on the controller. With the controller powered on, simultaneously press and hold the "L, R, D-pad Left, and A" buttons for 6 seconds.
Then fully move the left and right joysticks in complete circles for several times. The controller will vibrate once to indicate that calibration is complete.

Compression Software Notes:​

Since different decompression software has different file caching methods, it is recommended to extract the firmware package first before copying the firmware for controller upgrade. Directly dragging or copying the firmware from the compressed package may result in unsuccessful upgrade or dead controller. If you encounter such a situation, please extract the firmware package first and then follow the correct steps for the upgrade to resolve the issue.

Changelog​

  1. Optimized the wireless connection, and increased the Bluetooth polling rate in Xinput mode to 170Hz.
  2. Added the function of power off by pressing and holding the Home button for 4 seconds.
  3. Controller reconnect time increased from 20 seconds to 70 seconds.
  4. Added the function that the controller does not shut down when it is USB wired connection.
  5. The automatic shutdown has been increased from 10 minutes to 15 minutes when the controller is inactive.

Note: The controller will automatically power off after the upgrade is completed. Do not unplug the USB cable before that.

Note2: The controller is equipped with a safe firmware upgrade function, Due this function the firmware will be full functional only after the second reboot of the controller after upgrade the firmware; so if you restart the upgrade process the previous version of firmware is still shown on the GULI.TXT file. Please restart 2 times the controller before check the new version on GULI.TXT file.

If you do not need to upgrade, you can long-press the Mode button to turn off the controller and then press the Mode button again to power it on to exit the upgrade mode and resume normal operation.

Calibration:​

After the upgrade is completed, it is recommended to calibrate the joysticks on the controller. With the controller powered on, simultaneously press and hold the "L, R, D-pad Left, and A" buttons for 6 seconds.
Then fully move the left and right joysticks in complete circles for several times. The controller will vibrate once to indicate that calibration is complete.

Compression Software Notes:​

Since different decompression software has different file caching methods, it is recommended to extract the firmware package first before copying the firmware for controller upgrade. Directly dragging or copying the firmware from the compressed package may result in unsuccessful upgrade or dead controller. If you encounter such a situation, please extract the firmware package first and then follow the correct steps for the upgrade to resolve the issue.
