Uuuuuugh...

I'm just gonna run down my day with you.

Wake up early - 6:30am - only a few hours of sleep because I couldn't sleep last night.

I ride my bike, and the handlebar is coming loose. It's about 20F in the morning right now. If I break, my inertia will push the handlebars all the way down.

I get to work, drop off my bike, and see my girlfriend to go to class - she brought me a muffin. Best part of the day.

Chemistry 101. Boring as hell - nothing out of the ordinary, so yeah.

Go see financial aid. See, while I have accepted the award, and the counselors can see that I accepted it, and I have no holds on my account, the money will not appear under anticipated aid. The people there tell me they can't do anything, and to come back at 2:00, when someone who will be able to help me comes in.

My beautiful and amazing girlfriend and I go get lunch. It was delicious.

Get my second TB test. I've had a cough lately, so who knows. I doubt it, though.

Go back to financial aid. The guy who is supposed to be able to help me can't, and IMed IT. They weren't available, so I went to Lifetime Fitness & Wellness (glorified gym) class (mind you, I'm already late)

I get my body fat measured. I dropped from 12% body fat, to 9% body fat. That is considered 'extremely lean', just a few points above bodybuilder levels of fat. This is unhealthy for someone who doesn't do all that much. On the bright side, I did gain about 20 pounds since the beginning of the semester. 20lbs of muscle? Bone? ...Kidney? Who knows.

Got an email from the financial aid dude - "it seems to be more involved than we thought - I'll check back when I find anything". Sigh...hope my classes won't be dropped.

Got to work - got lectured for no real reason. After my manager left, I try to fix my handles. I think that the guy who I bought the bike from used the wrong type of allen screw (bolt? not sure on the terminology of the receiving end of the allen wrench). The stem on my bike is getting shaven off by them. At this point, I almost have to hold them up on my own.

End of day. Printer error. I have to stay half an hour late from work, to wait for tech support, who does nothing but restart the computer. They tell me to put 0s in for all forms of deposit. While my instinct says "No! Don't fucking do that! You'll get in trouble!", my mind says "Just listen to tech support. They probably have a better idea of how the Oliver register works than I do, and if something goes wrong, it'll fall on their shoulders - not mine." So I left a note for my manager.

Now 8'o clock PM, I left my house at 7:30 AM. I'm cold, I'm hungry, I'm frustrated, gah. This is all just...blargh. Not happy.

sounds like a balance of sorts. like the bad parts were counter-acted by your girlfriend. Come back tomorrow and let us know what went down

That's shitty man. You should just look on the bright side, you had fun with your girlfriend. My girlfriend makes me happy even on days that suck.

I think the common ones here are allen bolts.

And rather than a wrench, the usual device here is an allen key.

A screw is distinguished by the decreasing radius along its length.

Aye, it's nice. I'm beginning to rethink (see: not feel) my stance on the role of social relationships in long-term happiness. Seems that everything that isn't a social relationship screws me over, so y'know.

Aye, aye, aye. I know that keys and wrenches are the same thing - I believe that wrench is just a term invented by a company that manufactured the keys, and then became popular. Still don't know about the screw/bolt though xD!
