the memchunkhax2 hype post with .3dsx

there is more going on in the comments that this post is somewhat outdated now.
read this. it's important.
  • you cannot use this for downgrading, installing .CIAs, etc. yet. it is purely for testing.
  • when you post results, include your model, entry point, and full firmware version (e.g. 10.3.0-28E).
  • this has pretty much no risk of bricking as it doesn't write to the NAND or anything. with that in mind I am not responsible if anything weird happens so run this at your own risk.
  • if you get a test value of DEADCAFE then it has worked.
  • this might help with getting "DEADCAFE":

Has anyone else gotten the black screen of death on boot up? I'm crying on this inside and recovery mode won't work. I'm on a N3DS 10.3U downgraded to 9.2U fail

Anyone else taking a lot of tries to try and get it to work. My n3ds is at 10.3.0-28U and still haven't got it after almost 2 hours of trying.

must be 10.3 for a downgrade ? I have a 9.7 N3DS japan, do i need up grade to 10.3 and then downgrade ?

@ZQZ51911 Yes. Delete 000400102002CA00.cia from the update pack or you will brick. Also, I recommend 9.0, because apparently 9.2J_n3ds on the iso site is really 9.1J_n3ds.

if my 3ds, after all update .cia installed it says "rebooting in 10 seconds" and goes black, what should i do?

@Diego788 Take out the sd card and boot. If that doesn't work hold L+R+A+Up and boot without the sd card, then update and try again

If neither of those work, you'll need a hardmod and a dump of your original nand to recover from the brick.
