Still alive, with much to share!

I really hate starting a blog post with "it's been a while since last time" or anything similar, but.. yeah, it's really been a while.
Hmm, guess I gotta address the elephant in the room first: The pandemic hasn't ended yet.

It's been quite a mess on my end when it comes to the Coronavirus. I mean, when compared to the rest of the world, we do have enough vaccines for everyone, but at the same time, we also have more and more people starting to get annoyed by the quite-often changes within the restrictions, the conditions for the infected, and all that BS about requiring a green pass in order to get access to places and events which previously had no issues to allow everyone in.
Personally, I took all the necessary vaccine shots and got my green pass as well. It's all free anyway.

Fortunately, that didn't stop me from getting progress in everything I do. Unlike these last few years which felt like a "Blockage Period", I've finally fulfilled some of my medium-level life goals, and earned my fair share of respect within my new activities.

Around the middle of june, I found a very interesting job in my city's industrial area. The workplace is recruiting employees who are exclusively belong to a specific type of people with special needs(except the managers, but they do have to follow certain guidelines regarding us). I was easily accepted and didn't take more than a week to learn all the basics.
The workplace serves as a support business for highly-recognized companies who need additional help with different programs and utilities. Most of it is related to tariff, but the workload is usually massive and those companies do not have the necessary manpower to finish everything in time. Everyone in the office usually help with waybills that are sent digitally to our country's postal service, since it's the most simple work with the largest quantity.
But that's only regarding personal purchases. When a company makes a purchase from overseas, it tends to be packed in a very large quantity and requires more steps for a successful delivery. Forwarding companies exist here for these cases, and within those companies, there is the customs department. They are technically our customers.
And now comes the best part: For every customer, there is a person from our end who works with them. Every customer has different conditions and workstyle, different steps to work with the programs provided.
It only took me 2 weeks to prove I'm worthy to work with one of our customers. Surely, it took around a month until I was allowed to work independently(well, not really but more about that later), and not only it requires a huge amount of focus, but the customer I'm working with....are a bunch of workaholics.
Remember: More files means more money, and because they are workaholics, we earn the most from them. That means I have huge responsibility in my hands.
Fortunately, earlier this month, before the jewish new years eve, the customs broker wanted to thank me on behalf of their entire department, and even sent me gifts: A blanket for winter, a pack of different types of candies, and a TWS earbuds, all engraved with their company's logo. That was the first time I've made a name for myself within my job, and things have gone smoothly ever since...or so I thought.
You see, September is a hellish month because there are a lot of "holidays". Unfortunately, we do not work in holiday eves, AND we lose money from those days as well(this month's salary is busted with decreases). 4 HOLIDAY EVES, which means 4 days worth of money gone to the trash! And because all those "holidays" are so close to each other, there's a lot of pressure for everyone, not to mention a few of our employees are either on vacation or just absent. When that happens, I am required to help as much as possible with the waybills, which losing precious time to work on my files. I thought I'll have more freedom with that field of work, but at these dire times, I must follow what my boss tells me to do, even if it goes against the priority I always followed. It's very annoying.
One last thing about my work is...well, my colleagues. You see.... I hate to say rude things behind their back, so let's just say....their behavior has become hard to tolerate. It's nothing out of the ordinary. It's just... ah, you know that feeling when you need to focus on something, but there's somebody sitting next to you, who keeps sighing, once every few minutes?
Cool. Now imagine this situation...times 5. That's probably the safest way to explain it, heheh...
Overall, I can't see myself wanting to stop working there. It's a lifetime opportunity that may serve me well later, and It's worth all the time I wasted at home.

But enough about work. Lemme tell you some of my newest revelations:

1. After years of keeping my hair long, I decided to cut it short again. Additionally, in order to suit up for my job, I went for a full makeover. First, I bought fashion glasses(AKA glasses without a number, just for the look), then I checked the suits I wore back when I was lecturing, and finally, bought new shoes. It sure left a powerful impact, and people said I look more intelligent that way.
2. I went for an 8-hour trip at the northern area, something I never imagined I'd dare to approach. It was a lot of fun, and I'd love to do that a lot more when the opportunity comes.
3. I finally started performing with my saxophone in public areas. I go under the alias of "Mr. Groove", and even though I haven't gained any reputation, I feel it coming soon. Just need to continue as much as possible.

But what is centered in my mind recently is probably what counts as the most important step for my current life: I'm moving out to live on my own next year.
Living with my parents has become an actual problem, and my endurance keeps getting worse. Since I do earn a salary, I'm planning to use most of it to make a living.
My plan is to find a decent unit somewhere in my city, one that is able to keep all my necessary needs in stable condition, with high priority over units that are located either close to work, or as less noisy as possible. It'll be challenging for sure, but I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. 2022 is gonna be a year to remember.

Even though I've been getting busier these days, I still have time for video games and the rest of my hobbies.
And seriously, there's so many things i'd like to keep expanding on, but I think at this point, you're probably had enough reading for now.
To close things off, I'll simply say that I'm very happy with my life's current stage, and hopefully I'll keep the progress advancing further from now on.
Have a nice weekend!

P.S: Oh yeah, I'm rarely composing, but just today I finished a Deltarune cover. check it out!
