So much for school...

So I gave my school schedule to my manager two weeks ago...he took it, and said OK - that's fine, I'll keep it in mind when making the schedules.

He forgot. Luckily, it only interferes with the first day of Psychology, but y'know. And he has a good reason to not be able to cover for me - his dad is in the hospital. (Really, we're the only two employees - there's another but he can only work about 5 hours per week...not really a full employee :P!) Still, though, not the best impression, plus I can only miss 2 classes per semester xD!

Ah well, I guess Chemistry and then "Lifetime Fitness & Wellness" (glorified gym class) will be my first class of the semester. No problem.

Oh! And I went grocery shopping today! This German woman at Aldi coerced me into buying a grapefruit that's supposedly not sour. I trust her well enough, but that'd be the first.

GROCERY LIST!

Milk, butter, 38 cent biscuits (tubes of em), dried fruit for snacking, celery, brocolli, peas, bean+cheese burritos, 2 mixed nuts, some mangos, a nectarine, a peach, a plum, mixed frozen vegetables, mixed fruit in a jar, potatos, a grapefruit and soda.

From that list, you would probably say that I'm a health nut, but I'm really not...it just kinda happened this way. Affordable frozen meals almost always contain meat, so I'm stuck with "nutritious" and "healthy" foods. :glare:

Congratulations on a successful first shopping trip!

I was so nervous shopping on my own the first year....I ended up with something like a couple of cans of soup, frozen pizza, a tub of hummus, and bread.

At least get some protein in your life, it's not much protein.

1. It's not my first trip xD! I've lived alone for a few months now, it's just happy day because I didn't have much any food (that's mine) in the house!

2. Nuts and beans are both adequate in protein, but yeah, I typically go through dairy pretty fast, so no worries. I also have that protein powder from work that I never use because it turns to chunk.

Update!

Not to sound selfish, but my manager got in a car accident - he's fine, but his car is messed up - and all I can think is that I hope I don't have to miss the whole week.

That...would be really really bad for me. Then I wouldn't be able to miss a single class after this week at the cost of getting dropped. Sigh.
