0) I'm getting ready to do the Artist's Alley at FanExpo Canada this year. This means I'm carving about 100 pieces, and trying to do it on a small budget. The good thing is that I'm sharing a table with a friend - we will split the costs of the rental. Also, I've carved mostly Harry Potter stuff - I wonder if it will sell?
1A) I attended my best friend's wedding last week. I got on a bus to Buffalo, New York and I boarded a plane. This took about 12 hours, and I basically landed at midnight, local time. I stayed for three days - bought new shoes, ate really spicy food, and bought my copy of Pokemon White.
1B) I was her maid of honour. This was preceded by the fact that she did my makeup (I never wear the stuff, just lipstick if I can get away with it), plucked my eyebrows, shaved and did my hair. The dress was this strappy halter thing in a hideous Marine blue. I swear, it did nothing to set off my yellow skin. It was awkward, because I knew nobody except for the bride and her hubby to be. However, the groomsmen and the groom all are huge ass anime/WOW fans.
2) I'm getting into Bleach, again. I'm still behind as heck, but what can I do?
3) I finished Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 4: Turtles in Time in hard mode. I swear I can still hear the laughter of Krang in my head. I will probably end up seeking out the original Teenage Mutant Ninja turtles beat em up for the NES - it was the one with the bowling balls coming out of doorways on the first level. (Say your prayers, Toitles!)
4) I'm actually enjoying Pokemon White. I guess it's the fact that the new Pokemon are still interesting and the new gyms were you have to solve problems in order to battle people. I still don't like the three-dee city - it looks...primitive. The new IR features are interesting, but not enough for things.
5) I corrupted my save of Pokemon SoulSilver. (I'm just looking for a save in which the Elite Four hasn't been beaten.) I was playing around with Pokedoc's save game manager and I somehow ended up restoring a bad copy of it to my cart. Personally, I just bought the game for the Pokewalker - which I managed to lose. (I will probably pick up a new one, but I'm just...lazy.)
6) In other news, Canada Post is still on rotational strikes. They are mostly asking for wage increases and these rotational strikes are a good way to put pressure on the Canadian government and to avoid binding arbitation. It sucks, because I'm waiting for several things on ebay to wing itself to me.
7) I have a supply of thin guitar picks that I'm selling on ebay and here. 144 of the normal ones for $15 with shipping. 144 of the jazz/precise control ones for $30 with free shipping. It's a good deal, and I've sold a ton of them already.
8) I'm getting ready for the yearly Pride Parade. Again, I'm not marching with my university club, I'd be in the crowd with a water pistol at my side. It's going to be fun, and I just wish my fiancee would be able to join me for the summer.
9) I'm getting my cosplay of Ness from Earthbound ready. I have a red baseball cap, red shoes, jeans, yellow shirt. All I need is the baseball bat and to paint my shirt and cap with blue paint. It's going to be my cheapest cosplay ever, but I'm a giant fan of Earthbound for the SNES.
10) I have a serious suspicion that Team Plasma from the new Pokemon games is a big fracking joke about vegans or members of the PTA. They act like they are better than everyone, and that Pokemon cannot seriously be helped by knowing humans. Well, at least it's a better portrayal of the Pokemon society - there are all kinds of people out there, and some people's pov are warped.
