[Gaming] Don't know why Nintendo likes to ruin great games.

I've decided to give Wind Waker HD a chance and am liking it very much (was of the mindset that WW sucked because of how it looked and such but how wrong was I!) and the HD version is lovely for one minor detail... No map on the TV. It's a Zelda game so the map should always be available on the TV because I can't see the logic in looking down at the GamePad to see the map when the TV could do that just as well.

I didn't mind that, my problem was that the nerfed one part of the game that upset me. I didn't want to bring it up since there are people who haven't played it.

@Selim873 It's very awkward because I have to place the GamePad somewhere around the TV so that I can see the map. Jeez, this is one of those times I wish the game had received an update. :-/

Btw, Miiverse integration was pointless but guess still better than Amiibo 'support'.

@Selim873 if youre talking about near the end when you have to keep sailing, spending money, deciphering charts over and over, that was the most tedious thing in any zelda game and I'm glad they watered it down.

Wait... so having no map on the screen was Nintendo "ruining" Wind Waker?
I understand that it can be a bit annoying, but "ruin" is a bit over the top, wouldn't you say?

@Wellington2k Without the map I can't see where I'm at exactly so yes it partially ruined the fun.

@WeedZ If it's on the floor then it's not that easy but since Ninty forced this stupid gimmick I have no other way than to place the GamePad nearby the TV.

The two things they did wrong:
  1. Removing the Tingle Tuner instead of putting it on the GamePad
  2. Removing storage

If you really wanted to talk about Nintendo ruining games, you can easily turn to games like Yoshi's New Island, Mario Party, Animal Crossing amiibo festival, Metroid Prime: Federation Force, ect. Or maybe the fact that the Wii U goes months without any game releases or barely any 3rd party games. There are tons of great games that Nintendo later turned around and shit on by making boring soulless versions of the games. But your only complaint is that you have to look down at a map?

My main problem with it is it looks like someone smeared Vaseline on the screen with those bloom effects.

@WeedZ Yeah, I just don't really like playing with the GamePad at all. It's bulky, big, dated tech and I prefer a traditional controller. Preferably a light-weight one.

I've been using the GC version with Nintendont instead.
Never ever considered to buy the HD version.

The original GC version remains the best IMO, but I could be just blindfolded with nostalgia.

Whatever, I own the GC version XD

I agree with the NGC version still being the best, especially with Nintendont or Dolphin. It doesn't have that annoying bloom effect and the colors seem more vibrant.

@frogboy To know where you are otherwise it's a guessing game.

Play the latest mario party game on 3ds. It's not an atrociously bad rage game, but it's like activision shovelware.
