game/consoles and prices

Has anyone else noticed how expensive games have become at least it has in the netherlands.
I can remember very well buying games for around ƒ50 (gulden) and I also once bought a GBA for ƒ99,99. After europe changed to euro the same games and others costs around (gues what) €50 and isn't only for the games also for the consoles (the GBA cost then €99,99). And ƒ:€ isn't 1:1 but 1:0,45378 so the games and consoles became more than twice the price it was. The explanation we heard "It is because we just changed currency it seems expensive were also having inflation" BULLSHIT an inflation can't be that big from one day to the next.

We'll to get back to the point has anyone else noticed this? or is this just in Europe? or just in the Netherlands? or is it my imagination?

(I know this is very late but just wanted to tell)
