I had an ear infection a few months ago, it was so painful, the ear was blocked and the pus kept on building up for about a week and it got very painful, when (eventually) it popped I was sleeping and woke up to a loud pop and pus/blood went all over my pillow.

That's my story, have fun with the ear infection
