Been Getting More Headaches.

Recently I've been getting more headaches, though I'm kinda expecting that, our family always seems to get headache problems, it was also "Family Drama Day" today, so I've been pretty argumentative today.

Also, I'm gonna just post this TF2 Guest Pass right here...so GOGOGO.

Thanks for the pass, Dusk.

Anyway, my brother also has headache problems, quite severe ones, actually. Most doctors don't know what's wrong, there's no tumor and his brain looks just fine. It's been like this for years and I'm hoping someone out there could help.

Are they migraines? If so cutting some things out of your diet might help. For me it's anything with orange in it(which is a major shame because fresh squeezed orange juice is one of my favourite drinks), but it is different for a lot of people so you'll have to experiment and you might not have any luck. Also if it does work you'll still get them, just not as often.

If they aren't migraines then sorry.

try to drink more water if your body is dehydration the headaches becomes more frequent

It's most likely a somatoform disorder, or possibly Münchausen syndrome(though hopefully not).
A somatoform disorder is a mental illness where you have physical symptoms that are medically unexplainable. Basically the symptoms are created in your head without your control or knowledge, so it's not like he would be faking it.
Münchausen syndrome is where somebody fakes sickness in order to gain attention, though this can sometimes be without the knowledge of the afflicted as it could be a subconscious want for attention.

Not migraines, just headaches, if you want migraines look at my mother, she has them almost everyday, which is caused if I remember right by the hole on her head (She got hit with a monkey wrench as a child.), though I don't know what causes my headaches.

You do know migraine is frequently hereditary right? I suffer at least one a week - sometimes more and have to take heavy prescription only medication to combat them. My neurologist had me have a CAT scan and they found these little white spots throughout my brain - apparently they are commonly seen in the brains of severe migraine sufferers but they don't actually know what they are!?! If you suffer nausea or distorted vision along with your head pain it could be migraine.

I would recommend having your eyes tested (I recently tested 20/20 so I know that's not my problem), cut down your screen time and only play games in a well lit area - no late night handheld epics. Drink lots of water and take as much exercise as you can - exercise lowers blood pressure and reduces vaso-congestion which can cause headaches.

People who don't suffer headaches can't really understand how debilitating they can be; I have frequently wanted to die rather than endure any more pain, and on two occasions I have blacked out from the pain becoming too intense!

Is it because of the swap of avatar? Your old one looks so cute. :P

Nah, just kidding.

Anyway, get a crap load of rest and drink enough fluids. Avoid heading out (especially during Summer)

lol i suffer from headaches / migraines

apparently my OCD is the cause

but i found that drinking 2- 3 liters of water a day solves it

if i get a migraine i gotta take 2 co-codamol
sorts out the headaches/migraines but sends me to lala town

great for stress

@KirbyBoy, I really didn't know migraines could be caused by injuries. Sounds horrid.

Also if you get these symptoms inexplicably and sometimes without headaches I'd give it some more thought. The head pain can also be redirected to somewhere else. If you've ever felt like you've had an headache in your stomach again it's worth putting more thought into.

And drugs might be the only choice if they are getting more and more frequent. What they use are also generally very strong anti-psychotics, but don't worry too much as in much smaller doses. I had to go on them for a few years when my symptoms got as frequent as mechagouki's.

Lol, now I have co-codamol for the 3/4 times a year I get bad migraines. Don't get high on them though. But I have strange reactions to a lot of drugs. General anaesthetics don't knock me out, amphetamines send me to sleep...

Get an eye test, people get headaches when their eye sight power drops, if your eye test comes out perfect - it's some other problem then.
