So my iPhone alarm went off but didn't make any sound AGAIN (This has happened many times before, and it happened last week on a work-day so I was an hour late.. .)
Last week when I was late, I told my boss why, she said "hey, better late than never, but hopefully it doesn't happen again!" . . . it happened TODAY. I called in, but my manager actually proposed something to me. He said "Well, we got a LOT of people in the warehouse today. Legally, if you came in late, I'd give you a warning. . but. . if you took a day off, you'd be marked as a day off and seeing as you haven't missed a lot lately. . . it's the best bet for you. I'll just say you called in sick, but you can't take any sick days for a WHILE."
I chose that option, instead of being written up for being late. Strange he was on my side, he used to be on my ass last year. Ah well. Sucks, though; It was either get written up and get paid for 3 hours of work, or stay home, be safe (job security wise) and not make any money. . . I really need to find a job closer to home, considering I live 15 min. walk from a fucking shopping mall, haha. . anyway.
