On another note, this is the third day in a row in which my manager has woken me up (via phone call) to tell me that my schedule has changed to....immediately and need to rush over there ASAP.
Granted, none of these times were his fault, and it is his only choice, really, but it's still no fun.
Plus corporate says that all GNC employee's hours get cut. This store dropped from 34-29. After taxes and all that, that means I will potentially be losing over $100 per month. Sucks.
On a brighter note, I've been getting a lot of "PMs" lately (not forum PMs, store PMs...it's basically commission but since so few products offer it, GNC can't call it commission, because that would allow them to pay us the "Commision-based minimum wage" [something like $2/hr?]). I got $17 yesterday!
Although that doesn't really make up for the fact that I was "forced" to stay at work unpaid yesterday. My manager had me go on break, but didn't give me enough time to make going home worthwhile. So, I sat in the back for two hours.
----------------
Other than work, school has been going well. I've decided that I'm going to get a 4.0 this semester, just cuz, so.....there we go. Homework is incredibly boring, though, I remember now why I stopped doing it in like 6th grade.
I've also started playing a new MMO (lawlz): The Saga of Ryzom (available in French, German, and of course English). There's a linux and windows client, and an os/x client...in the works. It's not finished. By any means. But it is open source.
It's a neat game that focuses more on....what you want to do and how you want to play more than the metagame of "Warrior go tank, priest heal, dark wizard....do your dark wizard thing.". If you want to go gather resources and explore the vast and beautiful world? Go ahead! Raise your resource gathering skill! You want to go and clear some dungeons? Go right ahead, your combat skills will thank you! Want to just hang around in town and socialize? More power to you, though no skill will get boosted
...

I don't....think there's anything else to say....so I'll leave it here. I'll add whatever if I think of something.
