I have this problem.

Has it ever happened to you that you were about to do something, and you just forget what you were going to do once you got there/were about to do it? Once in a blue moon? Well, that seems to happen to me more than often. At least once every day. I'd be playing Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker on my Wii U, then press the HOME button, press Internet Browser, click the Search button, and then . . ...? I forgot why I'd enter the browser. Then I'd start doing something else like check GBATemp which actually works surprisingly. Then I'd return and suddenly realize, no? Yes, I'd continue playing the game for a good 2-3 minutes until I realize I was missing the first diamond, then I'd remember why I opened the browser. It occurs very frequently for me. It makes it very hard for me to focus on anything. I find it hard to keep up in class and it makes me feel like the world is rushing past me and it's hard to keep up. I fear being awkward during a conversation, while others don't have to care, they're never awkward. It's hard to explain. So my question is to you, GBATemp community, is this normal? Is it just harder for some to focus than others? Do I have a problem? Is it a condition? How can I prevent it?

Thanks in advance guys!

This happens to me all the time, I think it's normal. I don't think there's a way to prevent it.

It's called a brain fart. It's as serious as the name implies it. Don't worry, welcome to the normies. How old are you btw ?

That happens to me very often, but more often when I am tired. I would say its occurrence grows exponentially with how shitty did you sleep the previous night.

@Ritsuki Well..um..my profile says 23, I've been meaning to ask an admin to change that, but I'm actually 13- turning 14 next month.

This is as normal as it goes, it's just how the brain functions. Because you keep thinking about what you need to do at the time it goes to the part that handles the very temporary memory, unless you have hyperthymesia or something it's normal to forget stuff like that and being absent-minded. As for not being able to pay attention at school, I'm fairly sure it just has to do with school being so unbelievably boring that it's the people who can pay attention like robots that actually have a disorder!:P

Yes, happens to me all the time, I wonder though, If it happens to me too often

If it’s worrying you then goto a Doctor, brain issues shouldn’t be dismissed.

Alright, thanks everybody, I feel better now, and @ThoD couldn't be truer lol :rofl2:. I guess it's nothing to worry about. It just a 'perk' of being human. Thanks again!

@Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.

They probably said "Hey, why not we combine the two together and make a 'new' DS to sell".
  • Veho @ Veho:
It's a DS Lite in a slightly bigger DS Lite shell.

    It's not a Nintendo / iQue official product, it's a 3rd party custom.

Nothing special about it other than it's more comfortable than the Lite
    for people with beefy hands.

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.
  • AncientBoi @ AncientBoi:
    I don't pirate them, I Use Them :mellow:. Like I do @BigOnYa 's couch :tpi::evil::rofl2:

@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm
  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
