Yeah, well what did you expect?
The exact same thing is happening with Valve, it's releasing literally variables on a game server for insane prices, and concentrating on the already dominated card videogame market rather than one (if not, the) most important saga of their history: HALF-LIFE.
In the Steam con everybody was expecting a Lambda with a 3 exponent, but no, they decide to release Artifact, a shitty Dota card-game that is just going to get crushed like Mexico City (lol sorry for black humor) (i'm mexican so..) (yeah..).

H
FUCKING
CARD
GAME

Oh my god I can't believe Valve. This is nowhere near the "golden age of gaming" fucking everyone releasing card games, unfinished games with DLCs out the ass and fucking PAID MODS

The DLC argument would make sense if you could prove it could go in the base game without pushing the release date back. That argument is always unfounded and can never be backed. It's rather depressing sometimes. I do agree that games nowadays are heaping piles of trash that should have either been scrapped or kept in the oven a bit longer. Still, it seems that as a whole they're getting better. I'm not see these complaints as anything but biased drivel as I'm not noticing these issues people claim.. On the WWII "beta".

That's another issue. Betas used to mean something. They used to come out months in advanced to help progress the game. Rather than being a glorified demo to help "stress the servers". Call of Duty, as a whole, has declined substantially since Black Ops 2. It's not even because of the futuristic combat and jetpack either. Its just a rushed reskin. Which might have worked 8 years ago.. But the well is running dry and pumping a new game out every year isn't helping. Regardless of the 3 developer cycle. Same applies to sports games.

Then you've got Bethesda and their rereleases. I'm excited to see Skyrim, Doom and Wolfenstein come to the Switch. I'm more annoyed at the fact that we're not getting anything new. I also wish they'd quit being lazy and use a new engine. The creation engine has run its course. It's apparent. Time to give us something new and refreshing. The "Golden Age of Gaming" was around the Xbox/PS2 days. Why? Networking and awesome multiplayer games. Giving us some pretty stunning visuals (for the time) and the ability to play with our friends without shelling out a pretty penny for a computer back then. Bringing us that much closer. Then it went downhill with the Xbox 360 and PS3. Don't get me wrong, they started off great. Then they decided to get into multimedia and adverts.. Their published games are always rushed and content is cut due to time constraints.. Not always reintroduced as paid DLC, either.
