Portuguese Leftist used the Portuguese flag as table towel

Huh, I always thought irrational flag worshipping was an American trait and something most of the rest of the world snickered behind their backs at (flags are for national events like some monarch having a birthday or sports events if you are so inclined to ruin the view of the person behind you). Guess I am not as worldly as I imagined.

I recall the time I was in a tool shop and it was some sports/football/whatever time and they had a bunch of tape measures with the union jack or cross of st george on (the red cross on a white background, technically the flag or England but I doubt many will know that). We all thought it very silly and had a good giggle/shaking of heads at the creeping Americanisms, some time later I was back there and it was all on offer and basically the same save for a coating of dust.

@FAST6191 That's what I thought too a while back, it would seem flag worshipping is pretty widespread in a lot of western countries.

Cristiano Ronaldo making money from rubbing his penis and arse, leaving poo, pee and sperm marks on his portuguese flag coloured underwear is the real scandal here. Enjoying a good long scratch of portuguese flag briefs into his bumhole. Now that's national pride, am I right or what?

@Heinansi Absolutely! If people have issues with eating on a flag they should have a serious concerns about people wearing their flag of choice, that is literal desecration.

@TheDarkGreninja They are not both flags, thats the whole point. One is a flag and the other is a table cloth, underwear, shirt, whatever made in the style of the flag.

If I can use that table cloth as a flag and the flag as a table cloth are they not one and the same?

@Benja81 The flag is what it symbolizes. Whether it's designed as a table cloth doesn't matter IMO. Any depiction of the flag is the flag.
