the memchunkhax2 hype post with .3dsx

there is more going on in the comments that this post is somewhat outdated now.
read this. it's important.
  • you cannot use this for downgrading, installing .CIAs, etc. yet. it is purely for testing.
  • when you post results, include your model, entry point, and full firmware version (e.g. 10.3.0-28E).
  • this has pretty much no risk of bricking as it doesn't write to the NAND or anything. with that in mind I am not responsible if anything weird happens so run this at your own risk.
  • if you get a test value of DEADCAFE then it has worked.
  • this might help with getting "DEADCAFE":

@Mrrraou so that the downgrade fails some time ago, does it help you to fix it with that?

@Mrrraou, How large do you think the increase of success is with the updated tool? Not gonna use it until it's fully stable; just curious.

Steveice10 updated his repo, and added "Currently works, but is unstable and crashes when exiting to the homebrew launcher. Guess we got some progress now!

no, Steveice10's memchunkhax2. I'm trying out TuxSH's sysupdater but you might want to wait for him to release it.

@ihaveamac, Ah. I'm not gonna use it until it is confirmed safe from the devs. I don't have a hard mod, and I don't want to risk bricking my only 3DS.

Yeah, I downgraded to 9.2 and I'm currently setting up CFW. Everything seems to be working as intended on O3DS

Is there a .3dsx available with the new sysupdater and so you think I should go for downgrading without a hardmod?

There is, but no I wouldn't recommend it. I don't have a hardmod but I only tried it because I'm getting a N3DS soon so it didn't matter if this one got bricked
