Why I wont watch the news

This world is shit. I think we all know that. Stupid people want to ruin it for all of us... I think I'm one of the few people who would be happy to just get in a rocket and leave this planet behind me.

Every time I watch the news, I always get depressed. It's always about something bad happening in the world. Be it stupid people trying to run this country or terrorists blowing up something or some propaganda. I don't trust any news source. I don't care if you think it's republican, liberal, or the BBC. They're all terrible...

Why can't someone report on good things? I wish I could name some good things...

So yeah, cause of my depression, I wont touch news sources. Not that it stops me from hearing stuff down the grape vine... And when I say news sources, I mean stuff like Fox News, CNN, BBC, MSNBC, whatever.

Yeah mainstream news is like that. I dont know about your country but in Australia, there's always those ABC news which have better reports on happier news. Well what from I remember lol But that's usually on the weekends, something like a 60 minute kind of thing

do you want the sort of news that shows you a youtube vid of a cat rubbing itself against a procupine or armadillo, whatever animal that was.

I distrust any news that is 'good' as it is inevitably some youtube clip (as mentioned above) or a mundane so-called 'human interest' story that always leads me to believe something that actually affects us is being overlooked in favour of it.
The very point of news is that it is the bad stuff that most affects people- I do not want to find out how a lottery winner will spend their new found millions as he is not me

That first sentence is exactly why I don't watch the news either. The world is shit, I know it. The news just confirms it every time, so what's the point in it.

It isn't just news that I start watching very little of. I rarely watch TV in general nowadays because too much of it is garbage.

I also hate the news. Just like you said, it's too depressing and the world is shit. Oh and I love that song.

    I'm doing good, just made my first drink of the day, so better now, Captain and Coke today. I had to cut grass all day, then get my hair cut. I messed with my wifey, she knew I was going to get hair cut, and I went and bought a purple dyed wig, and came home wearing it, she freaked out, thinking I dyed my hair purple, was funny.

    Damn, I haven't been on here in while. My wife and I went on a mushroom trip like 10 years ago. A friend had a PS3TV with the glasses and some racing game. It hit when I was playing the game and I freaked out because I thought I was really driving and crashed.
