So...Figured I'd do a blog cause I'm bored...And stuff...Need something to do to pass the time...
So...Kid Icarus Uprising. Had my doubts at first, mainly because a friend said the game was sort of JRPG-like (In the dialogue/characters that is), and boy was he right. The dialogue is so atrocious and makes me want to cringe. Doesn't help that there's nearly constant dialogue in the Solo mode. This line especially was just...Ugh...
"I'm gonna rack up some serious Nintendogs trainer points!"
Crappy and annoying dialogue aside, the game is great. So many collectables, weapons, and cool little features. I enjoy both the flight and land sections, although I think I like the flying ones a bit more, mainly because it's more fast paced. Speaking of fast paced, the online is very fast paced, but very fun.
Also picked up Star Fox 64 3D, and the game looks gorgeous. Probably the best visuals in any 3DS game IMO. They certainly did a great job with the remake, and I'm glad I decided to pick it up, albeit a bit late. My only problem with the game is the aiming sensitivity...It's a bit too fast for when I need to shoot a boss at a certain point or whatnot, and there's no option to change it, sadly.

In other news, I've started a new project, which I'll most likely never finish like any of my other games...
It's called Meadow, as you can see, and it's a mix between a traditional platformer and a "running" game (Like Canabalt, where you're constantly running in one direction and must jump/avoid obstacles, and just get as far as you can). You play as a pig, and your goal is to escape from the farm at the edge of the meadow, and work your way to the muddy swamp you've dreamt of living in for your whole life. The backstory isn't really important, but I felt like getting creative with it.
I don't want to limit the player to JUST running sequences, so I think I'll do a mix of both. In the normal platforming areas, you just walk around and whatnot, collecting things, killing enemies, etc, but during the running sequences, you're constantly running while trying not to fall out of the view, and avoiding obstacles.
Of course, I'll add an infinite running mode with some different features in it like power-ups and whatnot.

That's really about it...My life isn't exciting enough to fill up this blog post any more.
