for a price that is equal to the Nintendo Switch, I'd expect a modern console with modern games; at least as powerful as the Switch...

It's Linux and apparently it's has alot of freedom so you can fire up Steam on it.
Oh and also, I think it will be good. For that price, it's not a cheap cpu either

This is exactly what I've been talking about. While I'm against the idea of consoles because of their lockdown and restriction to their company, consoles like the PS4 and XBone could be pretty sweet if we could install Linux and run Steam on them. I might even get an Ataribox to show my support during the Indiegogo even if I don't end up using it all too much.

AMD CPU and GPU. If they nail it down perfectly and OS ships as complete (unlike SteamOS) then I'll reconsinder getting one of these.
As long as we will be able to change OS or atleast distro's, I'll be happy.

@smileyhead - and? No one is calling this revolutionary, however, for something that's considered a console, and that might even feature exclusive games, it is special. There's also no word that it's gonna run SteamOS.

I highly doubt it will run SteamOS, It might have steam built it, but thats it.

I am pretty sure they will either make a flavour or make a simple os.
