Gaming Xbox One Japanese Release date (Sept 4th)

The Xbox One's Japanese release dat has finally been unveiled in a recent interview.

September 4th, the console will be hitting japan, with 48 game devs promising to support the system's japanses games.

This is good news for the Xbox Brand to spread its wings, but its chances of seeing high success will most likely reflect the very same of the 360's sales in japan. Which werent very good.

However, Xbox does have big plans seeing that a "renowned Japanese studio" is working on an exclusive title for the console.

What could attract the attention of the Japanese... Shenmue 3 on Xbox One? I wouldn't be surprised if some would buy it just for one game.

You never know friend. I bought mine just for the sole reason that Xbox has Halo. Everything else is just a bonus to me. It all depends on dedication to games and brand I suppose.

I'm honestly surprised that Microsoft hasn't just ponied up for an exclusive Monster Hunter game yet.

If you want the Japanese to even consider your system, that's just what you gotta do.

Technically they are getting Kingdom Hearts 3 and the new Final Fantasy (whatever number it is at now), but... I don't see a chance of it being successful if it doesn't launch with a huge weeaboo selection out the get-go.

Quantum Break, Forza, Ryse, and DR3 are all listed as launch titles as well as all other games currently released on the xbox one platform.
Also BOTH Xbox One options will be available in japan at launch, the edition WITH kinect and the edition without.

EDIT: We also have some confirmed Japan Only games that are starting to arise, no actual trailers for them but the announcements are being made.

It would also appear Xbox is making the smart move of appealing to the Anime Crowd of Japan, including rumours of pure Anime TV focus, affirming the media aspects of Xbox being beneficial to other regions.
