Hacking Wood R4 BUGS and Compatibility

What the bug is: Game freezes at a certain scene.

What you did to debug it: Can't get past this point with any version of the ROM available online.

How you can repeat the bug:

When you load up the save (it's in Chapter 7 of the game) go into Ghost Mode and move into the bell on the table and ring it 3 times. When the waitress passes, go back into Ghost Mode and hitch a ride on her pitcher over to the other table, clicking through the dialogue. When you get the chance to talk to the girl, do it. You'll be prseented with 4 text options - whenever I pick the first one, it freezes after the first speech bubble. This bug happens for me no matter what ROM I use! I haven't been able to figure out a workaround of any sort. I have the latest version of Wood R4 (1.23).

What you did to debug it: I boot the system, tried menus, different folders. Downgraded to 1.23 and it's working ok again.

Edit "globalsettings.ini" in folder "__rpg", line "langDirectory = lang_en" change to "langDirectory = English".

Game name: Not a game. Wood RPG/R4/etc.
Release number: v1.24
CRC: The same CRC as everyone else.
Clean ROM: I'd expect it to be.
What the bug is: No obvious way of temporarily canceling autorunWithLastRom (like AKAIO's hold B).
What you did to debug it: Made it infinitely load itself and press various buttons that are still working on my DSLite to see if any of them did anything.
How you can repeat the bug: Try canceling autorunWithLastRom...or just check the source to see if there is a way to cancel it?

What you did to debug it: Tried a patched rom, didn't work. Tried a clean rom, still didn't work.
How you can repeat the bug: Find any rom on the internet of this game and try it.

Sorry, I meant when you get close enough to be able to link up to her core and speak to her, do so.

And the option says "Death-row inmate, Jowd". There'll be a brief exchange, and Lynn will say "Well, it's an old-fashioned heroic kind of story. It happened ten years ago." The screen will fade to black and a speech bubble will appear saying "Now just calm down! And drop that weapon!"" The game freezes at this point. If you're quick, you can click past the speech bubble, but it still freezes. Apologies again for not making this clearer.

it fixed. works fine for me. check your rom, check your wood version, check your microsd and so on.

Sorry, I meant when you get close enough to be able to link up to her core and speak to her, do so.ok. as you dont' provide save file i wrongly assumed that you tald about beginning of chapter, but really you tald about ending. so all works fine for me, dont' se any game. and this game is one of games that i finished by self. and there is no any problem. so at 1st check your rom.

I've tried this with several of the roms available (clean/patched etc) , and the same thing keeps happening.

That one isn't a bug. You just need to go into the globalsettings.ini and change the language folder from "lang_en" to "English".
