Uhm this kind of shit is WAYYYYYYYYYYYYY off topic. Stop it guys. We get it.
The last two or three pages is just 'represent this place, yeah'
You're from some part of the world that the other parts of the world don't care about.
Lets move on.

The offtopic discussion is a strategic element to force the developers to release Karl3DS faster because once it is released obviously the offtopic will stop because everyone can finally start complaining about things that don't work yet.

Here's the thing: They're doing this for free and on their free time. I would rather wait for them to share with us stable release instead of a rushed, buggy one. No point in asking for it earlier. Even if it goes off-topic, it won't force them to go faster.

Wasn't pointing the finger at you directly, just posts like yours. There were a bunch. That's all. Now that that's all over, there's nothing to worry about.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I'd rather everything be working and less chance of bricks or just broken or missing content. When it's done, it's done. It's fine.
There's gonna be a bunch of different stuff (from what I read and understand) in KARL that they've teased and shown and when it's finished and in a noob friendly completed state, it'll actually be done.

Thanks all the devs. Thanks for all the videos as well.
I can wait for this to be finished ;D

So this project is growing, from what I see.
Someone can tell me in few words what this project will become at the end? The features, for example?
It's not shown in the first post. Thanks a lot!! :)

The feature list changes too often to bother adding to the OP. Basically, they hope to have an easy way to load an emunand on the 3DS and N3DS with the possibility for RegionFree, the ability to launch the CFW from multiple entry points (CubicNinja, Spider, MSET are the current ones. OoT is a maybe at this point), and have an easy way to play homebrew without enabling piracy. They mentioned a way to launch homebrew from the home menu but I don't know if that's still a thing.

All homebrew should get full access to all services on the 3DS (so CSND can be used on the N3DS for example). And I think there was the mention of some useful tools. Like a nand dumper, a way to install legitimate cias (so mostly only system update stuff) and enabling the MSET exploit on all systems above FW 7.0, including the New3DS.

Oh and something something more undisclosed exploits on 9.5

So the MSET revival will be released to the public? because as much as I love and adore my precious sweet smelling, fun to play, dear to my heart copy of the best game in the world, Cubic Ninja, I want to store it away.

So, let's say you install MSET through CN or OOT...
What if you play a DSiWare/DS game in the N3DS?

You would have to reinstall MSET, right?

But if we install the GW Blue Card whitelist CIA, we wouldn't need CN nor OoT anymore, am I right? :P
nope, afaik it will serve as the new entry point for karl3ds, they might as well install the original whitelist too properly while they downgrade the MSET app, the flashcardtimewarp.cia just breaks it as there is no public method for downgrading system titles, but they must have it figured out.....assuming the n3DS can use the older TWL_FIRM they could downgrade the whitelist,TWL_FIRM and MSET all in one go to make the exploit much more usable with lots of previously blocked NDS flashcard working too....the joys of modular FW's :P

that will not work for sysnand as spoofing the version number does break signatures, so if you tried it with a system title you would brick sysnand......emunand on the other hand doesn't care so much about versions
Read my post again. It doesn't break any signatures. Each individual file inside of the .CIA (there are usually SEVERAL) is signed by NUS. With a valid signature. Spoofing the version just spoofs the version on the header of the .CIA itself. The .CIA NEVER has a valid signature when 3DNUS creates it, spoofing or not, because nobody has the signing keys.

Edited until I can do further testing. I Can say 100% that it is safe to spoof the DS cart whitelist and the Nintendo Zone list without causing a brick.

As I said, I've done the whitelist by myself with 3DNUS and spoofing and none of my consoles are bricked. And of course I did it to SYSNAND. There is zero point of doing it on EMUNAND because at that point, you've already been able to launch an exploit and playing DS games with the blue card simply will not work on emunand.

wulfy sez changing the version numbers does break the signature.

What they can do however, is ignore that it's a lower version than what's installed.

Usually when such a big title leaks the Temp will be the first to report about it (going off of historical reports here, Pokemon SV being the latest one I can recall seeing pop up here)
