Honestly, anyone using HANS and the Homebrew Launcher should really switch to custom firmware and do the NTR method. It's so much easier than having to rebuild the romfs to use with HANS. And for whatever reason, HANS really doesn't like Fates, imo.
Question, what are the prerequesites to NTR? I have been thinking of using it instead of HANS but im not 100% sure my 11,2 3DS can use ntr. So far im just using homebrew and decrypt9 for dumpingI actually am using ntr, but the step I'm stuck on is the same no matter what you are doing, have to randomize the game files. Do believe I have figured out what has happened but in the process I have run into another issue. First time I unpacked the Romfs.bin the Romfs extractor failed to open all files. I had all the files that were in the guide so I thought it was fine. I have gone back to trying to extract the files from the romfs.bin but keep having it stop working at around the 40% mark and it crashes.
You need custom firmware to use NTR. Follow http://3ds.guide/ to get custom firmware, then install BootNTR Selector to be able to use NTR.Question, what are the prerequesites to NTR? I have been thinking of using it instead of HANS but im not 100% sure my 11,2 3DS can use ntr

The installing arm9loaderhax step? That's the last big hurdle. I completed this same guide back in June/July/August (back when the guide was a 5 step process and required an emuNAND and the guide was just wiki pages) on 3 systems and I have not bricked. Just make sure to follow the instructions to a T. If it asks you to make a NAND backup, MAKE IT.Thanks
EDIT: Will the 3rd step (The one after decrypt9) be the final barrier before ntr? I dont want to go trough the massive process for nothing or to know what im getting into.
I'll make sure i know exactly what the guide means and check out others posts about it so i dont miss anything. I do not wanna brick my only system. The installing arm9loaderhax step? If you're using NTR you can just delete it, if you're on HANS you need to replace it with the original.Currently on Chapter 15 of Revelation. The game crashes after clearing it and before going to the cutscene that comes after it. I'm following the directions in the first post to try and fix it, but am I supposed to replace the map script or delete it entirely?
I get that sentiment, but I've used HANS on fates since release and havent had a single issue outside of being unable to load dlc.Honestly, anyone using HANS and the Homebrew Launcher should really switch to custom firmware and do the NTR method. That's fine that you think that. If it works for you, then more power to you. I haven't had much success with it and that's mainly the reason why I switched to CFW so that I wouldn't have to deal with that.I get that sentiment, but I've used HANS on fates since release and havent had a single issue outside of being unable to load dlc.
That's just my opinion though.
You have to extract the game's contents. You can find instructions on how to do that in this subforum. We can't give them to you.How do I get the files it is mentioning in the instructions section?
This was probably already answered so if ya could tell me which page it's answered on, thx.
I wasn't asking for them directly, I have some bit of common sense. I'm just not sure where these instructions for that areYou have to extract the game's contents. You can find instructions on how to do that in this subforum. We can't give them to you.
You don't have to regret asking. :/I wasn't asking for them directly, I have some bit of common sense. I'm just not sure where these instructions for that are

You should really switch to custom firmware and use the Special Edition instead.Just gota figure out where the revelations file is o.0 thx though
I have luma cfw, plan on using ntr method to switch between being on and off easily, I only have birthright and revelations, no plans on getting conquest and special edition includes conquest :/You should really switch to custom firmware and use the Special Edition instead.
So? You have the option to randomize Birthright or Revelations without having to deal with extracting the DLC. I'm not seeing the issue here.I have luma cfw, plan on using ntr method to switch between being on and off easily, I only have birthright and revelations, no plans on getting conquest and special edition includes conquest :/
