what I'm using doesn't allow for Luma mods. I'm basically unpacking the rom, adding in the patched changes, and remaking it

except it won't actually let me remake the thing :\

We never made one, but pretty sure you could just edit the ID of the folder to the US one and it should work.
Heya, so is there a romfs for this like you did for the Bravely games? For both the outfits and orchestral music?

EDIT: Oh, I see the outfits attached in the thread OP, lol. Unless there's a newer one? Also gotta find the Orchestral one now.

There isn't a newer one as of now, and Orchestral one was never released as RomFS.
Okay, I think I found it. Searched for "Dragon_Quest_8_3ED_EUR_CIA_V4_Davhuit" and found the romfs pack.

Funny how all the voice clips and game music are all in one folder.

So I found a cia with all the patches built in, and I was wondering how to replace the japanese voices with the original English (Couldn't get patches working on U.S version, so that's why I resorted to a cia)

I just put the files on the root of the SD card and then use de ntr aplicaciones and turn it on. Then I went to the game and the screen flash green and then continue on as normal that,'s means that it's working right?

I'm use the Eur version. I saw that some managed to get it working on the US version by changing some numbers in the folder right?

As the BGM between JP and US versions doesn't have the same names, just copy-pasting all the japanese files in the us folder should not activate the orchestral BGMs.

(Because in the pack I sent you, there are no BGM as they have different files and the pack I sent you only cover the files which have the same names).

To activate the orchestral BGMs, the japanese files have to be renamed according to the english filenames (Left : Japanese names ; Right : English names) :

With those modifications, I guess it shouldn't crash (if the japanese BGMs caused crashes, I guess people who played the english undub would also get the crash).
Do the orchestral BG files really go to 77? The patch I found online only has 44 files

Did you know that the Japanese version has different animations for the moves Pearly Gates, Serpent Bite, Big Banga and Gigagash? it would be amazing to restore

So, I've been trying to apply the USA version of this patch (the one provided a few posts above me) and have been unsuccesful. Apparently some varation of BootNTR is needed, but that has not been updated in a year and, more worryingly, seems to not be compatible with Luma which I have. Some say that Layeredfs should work fine with Luma, but I have not been able to get this mod up and running for the life of me.

I've put the plugin folder in the title ID folder (3DS would not start). I've put it in the root with the main mod being inside the title ID and nothing happened. Putting it inside my romfs folder (I also have the orchestra mod installed) did nothing either. What am I missing?

However, I am having trouble getting plg(NTR) to work with Citra.

Could you please give me the source code (txt) so that I can load it in 3gx?

Not pressing, but was just wondering if anyone has a fix for being able to use the new 3ds c stick nub for camera control. When I run the pluggin this feature goes away so that the nub doesn't do anything and it only works on d pad. Thank you!
