I've just installed Windows 7 on one of my laptops, the one with a broken screen so I can just see half the picture if I press my thumb at the screen. When I had Vista it wasn't a problem since I connected the laptop to my old screen which I had on my stationary computer. But after I got Windows 7 the picture just won't move from the laptop to the other screen.

Anyone know why or how to fix?

I know if you install Win 7 when both monitors are connected it automatically defaults to having both up. If you have time you could try that. Otherwise you'd have to set it up in Win 7 to mirror the image on the other monitor.

Sometimes a laptop has a function key to switch between internal and external display. Usually Fn key + an F key (like F1).

Also try right clicking go to Personalize -> Display -> Change Display Settings. You should be able to tell it to use your other display from there.

1.When I press it the screen just turns black for a few seconds and then get back on the laptop screen.

2.The other monitor don't show up there
