I don't know, rebuilding the iso might break things.
I don't remember how the ps1 game file was set on the disc (for some games, the LBA is important)

Well you know what ? I've looked at the game disc, and it was rebuilded and crafted with ... "Spyro the Dragon" 's game base.
Even the name of some folders were named SPYRO

Results ? WiiSXR crashed while trying to load the game.

I have modified LAST.BIN, TEST.STR and that's all.

I've made as a "boot" the SCES file. Methinks they was no need to..

I've tried by booting the game onto the pSX emulator and it works flawlessly (actually this emulator works for ALL games excepting a Harry Potter's one due to a protection)

Another update and probable workaround.


I've saw that using a 1:1 copy + SBI file does the trick. But.. well, i do not know if my CloneCD version is a NoEDC or a EDC version. Any ideas ?

I didn't now there were different cloneCD version, usually it was a problem of the disc reader, not the program. maybe they changed that.
I remember doing my own disc dump with CloneCD and it contained the subchannel in it.

I don't remember if WiiSX was compatible with subchannels files.
It was a "work in progress" or "requested" feature.

When I've added the SBI into it, it crashed and returned into the Wii U, or when I've deleted the SUB file, it wouldn't load the ISO.

The folder I've got contained a .ccd, a .cue, a .img and a non working .sub file.

I've had a amazing idea. Why don't we install a WiiVC for RetroArch and then launch Mednafen PSX and play the game ?

Yes due to the Wii U speed and no because of Dynarec not being implemented yet.

+ Someone knows where to download the RPX for Mednafen ? Because I do not know how and why, RetroArch thinks I have no cores...

You can't inject a rpx into a Wii vc. Wii vc is for running things that are for wii side. The rpx is wii u and wii u side is running full cpu speed already. Does that make sense now?

. Well I do know that RPX cannot be injected, I only said to know where could I download it, not how can I inject it. Wii U HB are .elf or .rpx and Wii are only .dols (or .elf but that's uncommon)

The game didn't work even before the new advances with Wii VC injection. It would boot but the game wouldn't load anything properly and you'd sometimes only be able to see the wheels of the cars. It was probably an issue separate from speed so, sadly, this unrestricted mode probably won't fix it. I can't bring up the compatibility list right now since it seems to be down.

Yeah don't know why he's pursuing it when he clearly knows it's never worked

As I've saw on the WiKi, someone also tried and had the same results as me. Doesn't work.

people need to realize if a game is on the wiki saying it didnt work on beta 2 it wont work on wiisxr 2.3 either he reverted the dynarec back to 2.0 becuase when he tryed to "fix" it he brooke it lol

There's a review prototype version of CTR that's partially playable in WiiSXR. It still has issues like invisible objects and the adventure mode soft locking at the beginning.

You're better off just emulating it on PC until the PPC dynarec for Mednafen is made.

Well thanks all for your reaction.

WiiSXR is probably not reading the disc correctly or Dyna/Interpreter conflicts with something inside the game.
Until then, I am waiting for further fixes. And for RA, cannot even play with Mednafen HW, since it crashes directly. I'm using the pSX v1.13 emulator.
