Waninkoko has made a wii region changer for the wii, it will need a mirror and someone to translate

you will need to use the downgrader to get the right system setting region to use the wii config setting again, so if you install the japanese region you will have to go "downgrade" to X.XJ, you dont have to downgrade if you dont wana use the settings.

freeloader seems to be the better way to go if u have 3.2 as with this ud need to change the region everytime for a different region game.

say im on pal, and i change to ntsc-j play and game and change back to pal will all my channels and saves be their

Gecko Region Free does essentially the same thing and is MUCH safer than this.

doesnt let you play import GC games and it doesnt work with all games, this is very safe aswell, iv tested about a billion different version

saves n stuff are fine, but if the VC games aint region free you will have to revert back to your old region to play them again

i kinda have to agree...without being too cynical, these new apps are great but are not needed, like the downgrader nor region free program. Nethertheless theyre a good poc.

im not sure about the shop setting as to where you buy them from, just install WADS to be safe and not waist your money
