As far as I know component cables do not speed up response time, it only makes the picture perfectly sharp.

I have a 40-inch Samsung (Samsung which, by the way, means "three stars" in English, with three being a lucky number) LCD-TV that I completely adore for it's nice behaviour with video games. If I were to recommend a TV, that'd be it. But yeah, I think Philips has some great picture quality as well.

Well maybe I should keep mine after all, If I exchange it for a similar priced model I might get the same issues.
The thing is I am a first time HDTV buyer and I am kind of lost, If I had the component video cable at least I could know for sure if it's worth it or not....

My monitor has built in S-Video and Composite connections, so with say, this:

I should be good to go, right?

sorry I though you have a Dell 20" LCD monitor widescreen...which don have a S-Video and Composite

your Dell is 20.1" LCD monitor
if you have S-Video and Composite like this:

the React S-Video Cable for Nintendo Wii work fine!
but not as good quilty then Component.

Use the S- video not the composite..

Gamebridge's usually go for $20 on woot.com when they're there. If you need any cables/adaptors, one of the cheapest places is monoprice.com, like dvi to component is about $10 unlike Mchart's estimate of 200-300!

Note that it is DVI -> Component. It's usually a good idea to read.

Simple YUV to DVI-I adapters exist but your display MUST support YUV signal througth its DVI-I input and I don't know if PC LCD monitor support it (some TV support it, like the Philips ones). If it doesn't, you have to pass througth a converter box which cost 200$.

Correct me if I'm wrong.

That Dell data breach is worse than people probably realize....

When I worked for Dell we had access to data about military contracts and addresses for high ranking people.

I personally handled a call from the second highest person at Raytheon. That call bothered me a lot... The guy was nice and smart what bothered me was the way management basically just blew him off instead of going the extra mile to help him.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
In the end that call ended up costing Dell millions in lost contracts with Raytheon, and really the issue could have been solved for like 450 bucks lol

sometimes I wonder why anyone would ever buy mega man x legacy collection 2
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
I always thought that capcom shuffled the games in these collection, but apparently they are all in chronological order, which makes legacy collection 2 worthless
