Tuconsola.com is trustworthy AFAIK.

Futura-Online is so-so, some people had problems with it in the past. My advice is to avoid it.

Hey guys, looks like the site http://www.ptchip.com/ will also be selling the chip when they arrive in stock. Price now is 40.00EUR

I don't know anything about this site, so I don't know how trusty they are but I'd figure I'd throw this out there. Someone might be able to shed some light on the place.

Also, anyone know when GBAtemp is going to post their review of this chip? I heard rumors that it will be today but I don't know the time. I was kinda hoping to read i before I get ready for work.

I'm sure ASAP. One was being sent yesterday so it well may not have arrived yet.
Don't worry, the staff know how big this is to readers. They won't keep us waiting longer than needed for the review.
Thanks for letting us know of the other retailer too.

Is it cheaper or easier to install?

i have read something about 44€ in a german mod shop
so its more expensive and the install rhing is relative
some like to solder with wires and some like to solder without
but i thinks its easier
you get the chip on the right place and you can see the soldering points trough the holes in the chip platine

Just a quick update on Futura-Online.
I haven't received a reply to the email I sent 9 hours ago asking for an update.
However I did just contact them via MSN Messenger (or live messenger, whatever) at [email protected]
I spoke to someone straight away who informed me that the chip had shipped today!
They also said it will be coming via registered airmail and will need to be signed for.

I asked if they planned to sell the cyclowii and they said probably not.

So good communication via messenger at least.

Seeing as swapping is needed for gamecube titles I think it still only plays only region locked

I'm afraid it wont mate.
That's why it only lists "Play GC Imports (swap needed)" and not 'plays Wii imports..'
