im back here again with another issue... :/

--------------------------------------------------------------
since i used to open every single time the homebrew channel to get to the usb loader gx app, i decidecd to make the usb loader a channel, to put on my main menu which works, but i discovered that i can put my usb games as channels too in my wii menu, so i followed up a tutorial on youtube and did it on my old laptop, but the problem is that, if i open any of the game channels, the wii fowards it to usb loader gx instead of launching the game, and after it goes back to the wii menu.
--------------------------------------------------------------
INFO: I used "Crap" to make the wii game wads, and put the loader to "USB Loader gx Fowarder", created it, stored it in the "WAD" file on my sd card.
I have 2 files, the wad one where i have all of my cIOS'es, and another one, which i can access to, where i stored the usb game wads. the thing is they just dont open and they dont launch THE GAME...
---------------------------------------------------------------
p.s yall have to bear with me because i do a lot of stuff on my wii
and i often get errors or do things wrong because i kinda have
issues understanding stuff, so like always, an answer would be appriciated ^^

Why do you need to create game forwarders? This method is very outdated, its far more easier loading them from USB Loader GX.

because its easier to open them form the wii menu, anyway do you have a fix?

Use the updated version of CRAP called wii game shortcut creator (see modmii's download page 2). Also make sure your mods are up to date (generate a syscheck log and feed it to modmii to analyze)

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.

@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM

  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm

i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
  • cearp @ cearp:
It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space

Nor clothes 🤮 . Saves on time, soap, water and money having to wash them. :D

@rqkaiju2, Physical media is a great source for archiving your data, none of that cloud storage shiz.
