I think this might be a semi-bad dump. Jinxvorheeze says that it works fine for him on the back-up loader, but he is using a different dump.

It's not working on PAL directly.
The Wii just freeze and the wiimote shutdown at the first splashscreen after booting.

Solution : Use GeckoOS and force NTSC

That's what I'm using right now, and I'm already outside the inn, and got my own ranch.

I've tried video mode changer to include PAL 480p, it doesn't work
I've tried Menu loader to make disc channel region free, on both original and video mode changed disc, it doesn't work either.

PS : trucha sign doesn't work with this game, it used processor and ram at 100% for 15minutes and didn't load anything.
I used Wiiscrubber to replace main.dol.

Uhm, does this game needs an update? It says so in the disc channel. Wiikey firmware and PAL Wii have the latest updates. But I want to start it from disc channel

just use brickblocker, or WUM to brickblock the iso before burning if you wantto see the picture in disc channel.

But you can't launch the game in disc channel, it will shutdown the wiimote and freeze the wii.

Just use geckoOS to force NTSC.

I have downloaded multiple scrubbed links posted on another site, burned 4 copies(2x,1x,2.4x,4x) and even had someone send me a save after the intro crap. I assume it's something about the dump(FaTaL) Using the save that was sent to me, I can open rucksack and look at the map while on the farm, but as soon as I go into town my system freezes. We really NEED a new dump. I'm going to keep trying and I will post back here as soon as I find one.

If all else fails and I can't find one soon I might just rent this and dump it myself(assuming they have it in stock)

BTW I'm also using the Gecko loader.

Anyone had better luck? I'm on a PAL 3.3E system and I'm hoping to run awesome title via Backup Launcher.

Please do keep us lurkers updated. Thank you very much.

It would be great if you can do that but it'll be hard to track down without a torrent though since this site forbids links and hints/names to sites that contains illegal content. If you do happen to make a self dump, make sure to test it first and see if it's any different.

using GeckoOS to load since Wii Brick Blocker makes it unplayable,
burnt at 4x on really cheap media on a Wii 3.3E + Argon (Wasabus 1.5).

i been playing awhile currently upto Summer Year 2, not even a single glitch. the Fatal dump is fine as far as i can tell.

If it isn't Fatal's dump, then I guess maybe this just works differently for people. If that's the case, I really hope it works fine for me.

EDIT: Wait, didn't read the part about the Wasabus 1.5. I'll just try a different dump since many people reports that this game freezes for them when leaving the inn, while loading this from wiigator's backup launcher.

Tried it on NTSC-J. As my Wii can still use trucha, I changed the region and used wbb. Can go outside of town etc but game will freeze when I try to view the map. Tried it with Fatal version.

If someone does run this successfully via softmods only on a PAL machine, please do report your achievement and add a short tutorial.

Thanks

The game does not support Progressive scan, exactly like Rebel Raiders ... which whas a downer. For this one however, since the graphics are on the cartoony side, it's not soooo bad, even if you have a big screen.
