Hacking Why would 3.65 games not work on 3.65 Enso?

I'm running 3.65 Enso and so far, every NoNPDRM game (from NPS) I've tried has worked for me except two. Steamworld Heist and Steamworld Dig 2. They give error C1-6703-6 or C2-12828-1 as if I'm trying to run a game needing higher firmware on a lower one. Sometimes the game will load but then just crash before the title screen.

Just to make sure, you do have the nonpdrm.skprx file enabled under the kernel entry, right? And are you using anything else, like SD2Vita? Tell us what your configuration and setup are.

I'll soon be replacing oclockvita with lolicon and that's about it. Also my vita is a PSTV with 50+ other NoNPDRM games running fine on a USB harddrive.

The "ar nosurge plus" line should be commented since it's not a titleid or a plugin (fixed it for you), though I'm not sure that's the cause of your problem
Actually I don't think actual titleids (like your game) should have an asterisk before the titleid!

Version isn't a problem since you said it (sometimes) boots with a known unhacked dump

I can't recall the first error, but I know that the "game could not be started" error starts with C1-6xxx. the second error is just a generic crash error. you sometimes got that one with the browser while launching henkaku. I think you can get it with a game that crashes. it could be data corruption. oh, the first error I'm thinking of usually happens while on the livearea.

Just happened again with two more games, Mercenary Kings and Chasm. It seems to only happen with smaller (< 300mb) games. Because I can run 3.67+ games like Secret of Mana using repatch, but not Mercenary Kings which is also 3.67.
