Fat vita has frequent cases of burn-in.

I've had mine plugged into a wall outlet with vitashell just sitting on with the ftp box open for hours at a time with no issues. roughly 8-10 hours. Mind you i DON'T advise doing this, but I'm just saying...

Just look up OLED burn in. It's an issue that plagues all OLED devices, which is why I avoid Samsung phones as well. The only way to minimize it is to turn off the screen when not in use.

I know burn in happens on oled screens. I'm more interested in the "frequent cases" on the fat vita. A lot of people seem to think the spots that show up when the screen is black are burn in. It isn't, though.

I've noticed burn in on several Vitas that I've bought and resold on craigslist, usually different HUD elements such as the status bar. For the most part it's probably just frequent use, as these devices are several years old by now. For someone like me though who likes to keep things in mint condition for as long as I can, despite preferring the Vita build quality wise, I prefer the slim. Those spots also bother me quite a bit as well.
