No, its not probably fake. It is 1,000% absolutely fake. Dont trust those site. You need to have a truth source news like Wololo, gbatemp, and others.

Exactly and buying a used console on the said exploitable firmware will be expensive or worst damaged in some way. The thing is its not a question of is 5.55 hackable? it sounds more like a question of entitlement at least that's what I'm seeing on Mathieu's tweets.

If they release a 5.55 exploit then sony will block it and within a short period of time you won't be able to buy an exploitable version in the shops and most second hand ones will be updated with the new update.

There would still be a load of people complaining.

Yeah, I sold a 2.30 switch because it annoyed me too much. I'm not particularly bothered, I have a much cheaper 4.0.1 switch now.

I'm not that dense ofcourse they aren't going to release it now b/c its the latest OFW. Sony would have to be at least 2 OFW above the said exploit to even have a chance of a release. It's going to suck for folks like me on 5.50 b/c we have to wait on the same train as 5.55

5.05 are not widely available anymore either, they definitely will not be by winter, especially in the US, and Japan. All new systems coming out are 5.50+, and most used retailers are now aggressively updating systems. Not saying it is impossible, but it does take some hunting around, and most likely paying full msrp, or even a premium to find one.

There are approximately 150 listings for new 500gb ps4's available on ebay in the usa right now, and 95% of those are above MSRP, they also are not avaiable at gamestop or most retail outlets anymore, so no I wouldn't say they are very available.

On the PS3 and other console, you need to installed hack on lower firmware to upgrade to hacked firmware. i am not sure if that will be the case for future PS4 hack

As long as an exploit for 5.55 comes out and you don't mind waiting, then sure.

Well as soon as I get my new credit card in the mail I'll buy a 5.05 system maybe a custom order to have 2TBHDD installed. If 5.55 k-exploit ever gets release then that will just mean my ps4 pro will get hacked too
