Lately I have found myself out of nowhere, replay old school DOS games. I was 4 around the last time I played these, so my memories of them are poor. However recent conversations with friends had reminded me of games I had completely forgotten I had played but loved. Games that have basically made me the person I am today.

The games I remember the best/ loved the most were:
Supaplex
Jazz Jackrabbit
Commander Keen
Wacky Wheels
Tyrian
So what were yours?
loool...

Lemme think...roughly in order of importance (most to less)

Doom 1 & 2
Command & Conquer
Duke Nukem 3D
Stunts (think trackmania)
sim city 2000
Prince of Persia
Commander Keen 4
Dungeons & dragons 2: legend of temple darkmoon

(red alert) I thought it wasn't bad, but not as good as c&c
(dune 2) first RTS I ever played
(descent) not sure...was this a DOS or a windows game?

I remember Jazz Jackrabbit as well, but for some reason, I never got around to play it much. I think I only played the demo...

format c: /s

was brilliant
didnt take long and got people mad
1. Insert mom/dad/bro/sis FDD
2. format a: /s
3. ????
4. Harsh beatings

This is also fun except for part 4.

I've also played some of the classic or well known games, though some of them later on better versions of Windows.

Prince of Persia
Lemmings
Jazz Jackrabbit (had only a demo, then a full version of JJ2)
Commander Keen (played it on Win 95)
Jill of the Jungle (I only had the demo though) - this one was one of my most favourite games
Duke Nukem (not sure which episode though, I remember I could choose what level I could go into, it was in a night city. One of the first levels began next to a sea of sharks, where you jumped onto red a platform).

And I remember this game where you had someone like Mario collecting these diamonds while climbing on ladders while avoiding falling barrels. No enemy threw them like in Donkey Kong, the barrels appeared from set spawn points.

And there was another one where you had to dig through the map and collect items while moving around rocks in the pre-digged areas where enemies lurked. You had to move them around in order to prevent them from coming at you, as they could go anywhere except where they were blocked from reaching you. It had several different settings including a jungle and this death-like place with skeletal monsters.
