Man... so many hours spent in front of my GameCube in Christmas 2005.

I remember playing Smash Bros. Melee for nearly a day in December 2005.
I was alone, and back then had Club Nintendo Magazine with tips on how to unlock Mr.Game&Watch and MewTwo.
Read that you had to play 200 hours of Vs. so I tried to do that.

Turned on my GameCube, placed Smash Melee on the tray, turned it on, and played the shit out of it since Friday 6pm till Saturday 12pm.

I had a huge bag of Cheetos (a bag with around 3kg of Halapenios Cheetos) and Soda (2x 3L bottles of Grapefruit Soda) and I was 12 years old.

Years later did the same with Sunshine, WindWaker and Monkey Ball 2.

But that's the longest I've lasted with a joystick in my hand

What about you guys?

I wish I could pinpoint a specific day but nothing is coming to mind..

But I will say that I was practically glued to my Wii back around 2009-2013, games like Super Mario Galaxy 2, Wii series games, Mario Kart Wii, the works!

Sounds like the ultimate gaming session!

I remember, one time which I was just really sick and feeling like shit, I basically lied in bed all day, playing Uncharted 4.
Think I probably even finished it in said day, uh.

When I was 16 my parents went away for a week, I had a friend over and I wanted to show him Fallout 3. We started a new game and took turns playing, we ended up playing it pretty much all day every day that week. I'm not sure exactly how long we spent but I think we racked up just over 100 hours on that save by the end of the week.

Either Oblivion on the XBOX360 or one Final Fantasy from the PS/PS2.
Or Civilization II on the PeeCee.

Longest game session is DnD. I was about 16ish and the DM had a birthday party. We ate candy and cake, soda all night. From about 2pm until 11am the next day. We had an epic game session. I had a fucking dragon, a bag of holding, and all kinds of shit.

Probably any of my sessions playing pretty much any Pokemon game as a kid, there were days during summertime when I'd wake up, start playing Pokemon whatever at the time and not stop until whenever I went to bed. Latter years when I was maybe 10 and playing Emerald it was probably a good 14 hours or so.

Probably Minecraft. I don't remember the name of the server, but about 12 hours in a row and about 6 more with breaks

Probably 30+ straight hours of modded Minecraft like 8 years ago?

A couple times a year I host a halo lan party. 20 people in their 20s and 30s from 7pm to 6am. I seriously doubt that I could game for that long in any other circumstance.

Glory of Heracles for the DS. The Japanese version - they sped the battles up by 3x in the American version because nobody should suffer those brutally slow battle animations.

Finished it in one sitting, no breaks. 40 hours? I nearly died. Be safe kids.

Remember when RiiShop was a thing?
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
    not really
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
It got shutdown because somebody "accidentally" leaked the database for the amount of people using the beta.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
RiiShop is the laziest way of downloading Wii games. Did somebody not think of this through?
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
although i ended up accidentally changing my nand with no way of going back bc i didn't know you needed a gamecube controller to restore it (i have a wii minus/1.1, which doesn't have gamecube controller support)
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@BakerMan, I think you're talking about the recovery mode that the SaveMii used, and also was to restore softbricked systems.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
If your NAND was hardbricked, then just buy another Wii. Or go with the dirty NAND flasher method.
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
and if i find the sd card i have my NAND backed up on, i can not only restore the NAND if i solder the right part in, but i can also put my NAND on dolphin, then i can play dolphin online, like PMEX Remix or MKWii Riibalanced

  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@BakerMan, Oh yeah, that was a thing too. Dolphin does support Wiimmfi.
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
yeah you just need to put your NAND backup with wiimmfi on it
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
ngl i feel like if a bunch of my friends have wiis and know how to get wiimmfi and back up their NAND, then we could do a PMEX Remix tournament
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
maybe even add UMVC3/DBFZ and make it a biathlon/triathlon
