The online isn't free but the games are a free bonus.
You're not getting it. They're not a FREE bonus at all. You're paying for them. They're hardly a "bonus" because you're STILL paying for them. You're paying for ONLINE AND THE GAMES. So they're not even a bonus, let alone a free one.
Best way to put it honestly. Game pass is annoying. You're paying for a service on top of another service. Talk about redundant.
I agree completely, friend!

You're an odd duck you are. I just want a reliable network infrastructure.. If this fails to be just under XBL or PSN in terms of social networking and matchmaking stability (say that with a straight face).. Then why bother..

You're not getting my point. To me the games are free because I'm paying for the online, that's the only reason I would pay. It's a matter of perspective.

The best online service is the one that's free like Steam, but barring that it's the cheapest which is Switch. Who cares about "extras" when the money you save could buy you game(s) anyway. This is going to be a real problem if Net Neutrality repeal happens, because you'll have to pay hiked ISP rates, the "gaming package" for an extra fee, and your console's online subscription fee on top of that. People who want these game pass subscriptions will be paying yet another fee on top of all of those. Definitely gonna be a dip in revenue for a lot of online services.

I just end up keeping one Nintendo Switch game (or two at most) and just sell one for another game so I don't always have to pay 59.99 so I can just go ahead and pay $20 - $30 instead of 40/50 for a new or used game. The only downside is if I have to go on a long trip that's what I'm stuck with playing and occupying myself with for the next few hours depending on where I'm going. Its been bugging me recently as well because while the 3ds was out I don't think it was common to see games priced at 59.99, normally at most they were around 19.99 - 59.99 depending on the title.

I think at launch Mario Kart 7 was 39.99 and Super Mario 3D Land was 29.99 or 39.99 I might be wrong on that though.

If your really desperate to play Nintendo Switch games, look for indie games that are typically 9.99 - 19.99 *cough, Minecraft, Terraria (I think?), Retro City DX, Pacman Museum, Stardew Valley, Slime San"

I'd be playing DOOM, LOZ BOTW, ARMS, Splatoon 2, and Mario Oddesy and buy a second nintendo switch but of course the problem is always; money. Not that I have a problem with the games price point but everyone wants things that's always the problem when it comes out. I wanted some type of new console around 2012 but I never really got one until 5 years later (Nintendo Switch, while the Wii U PS4 and Xbox One were out, just be thankful for what you have man :/, game's aren't everything because in a society everything devalues (at least by $20) at some point, or more.

3DS is a portable, it doesn't push graphics anywhere near on par with WiiU, let alone Switch. Of course full-featured, full-length games are going to be $60 at launch. My recommendation is using Amazon Prime or Best Buy rewards or other programs to get AAA games at ~$48 a pop if you really need them.

I already have amazon prime and I do from time to time buy used games from GameStop and they average out to about $48 like you said (or less depending on the game.) GameStop's rental service looked like it could have went somewhere but due to supply and demand it flopped obviously.

But that rental service spoke to me and I thought "Wait if I want to buy games cheap and want to keep them for awhile, maybe I could use Gamefly and see if that works out. $9.50/$15 sounds like a fair price to pay" https://www.gamefly.com/#!/registration?adtrackingid=goo045 of course when you cancel the subscription in between waiting for some games to come out.

Well either that or backing up your games.

I thought that was interesting and kind of realized that overtime :P.
