Hardware What do you still use Nintendo 3DS for now that the Switch exists?

Aside from playing N3DS games, obviously.

Is it still the #1 portable way of playing Nintendo DS (not 3DS) titles? What's the easiest way to do it on a Luma patched 3DS?

-playing good nintendo games
-playing online
-portable snes
-it has so many good games i have a hard time picking one to play *chef's kiss*
-admiring what a beauty of a console it is
-grabbing screenshots and references for drawings
-customizing themes
-making animations in flipnote
-playing belly up or sideways in bed to rest my back ( the switch i gotta play belly down because both my joycons have terrible drift, so i can only play with my 8bitdo )
-play DS games
-retroarch machine
and probably more

not trying to go "ahaa the switch sucks because the 3ds can do all this!"
but i really use the 3ds like so.
my switch is gathering dust most of the time, save for the occasions i play splatoon 2, smash bros, or some other more "consoley" games like ff9, resident evil, devil may cry... etc.
i can't play it comfortably like the 3ds, and without a clam shell i'm too worried the screen will scratch, being the scratch magnet it is even though i added one of those protection stickers..

What is MSU1?
The MSU-1 is a custom coprocessor much like the DSP chips used in games like Super Mario Kart or Pilotwings, designed by byuu, the author of bsnes and higan. This chip enables playback of CD-quality (44.1kHz, 16-bit) audio, as well as addressing up to 4GB of data, far more than a typical SNES cartridge could ever hold. This allows ROM hacks to replace the background music of games with high quality versions, and even play full-motion videos.

A 3DS is actually portable, while the only thing that's portable about a Switch is that it can be carried around, unlike a PS5 or Wii U.

So, if both systems co-existed in the market, it could be said that they target different people.

I like the new 3ds xl more than my switch because it has better games (and more of them too), better battery life, is much more durable than the nintendo switch and is more portable thanks to it's clamshell pocketable design.

I use it as a measuring stick for stability so I have something to compare and contrast with when Switch stability updates come out. I have the Switch in the living room, 3DS on my nightstand and a Wii U in the man cave. This creates an entire bubble of stability that encompasses the entire house. It has since become a beacon of light and is the model of stability PlayStation and Vita users strive to achieve across the entire city.

I don't really play the 3ds anymore (haven't for years), but I still update everything when I can. one game I would like to see on the switch would be dkc returns w/ the added levels. I actually injected a save to my 3ds where someone was at world 9 (no stages completed), just so I can check them out. that was years ago, and I still haven't done so. ;)

Yea you right there, fallout 76 was a letdown, but it not that bad now, they have fixed slot of issues they had at launch. Biggest issue with Fallout 76 is its a pay to advance further type of game, which sucks
