Hello, so I was just wondering what are my options for running a virtual machine on Solus OS, I haven't been able to find answers on Reddit, the forums, and goggle. It just tells me how to install Souls INTO a VM.

Thanks.

My best guess is to find out what software supports running on Linux (Virtualbox, VMware, parallels, etc), figure out which of those are the best, then find any information on running that exact program on Solus OS.

If you are going to stray from the mainline distros and forge your own path through the weeds then expect fun, doubly so if it is going to be using some strange package management that you can't even hope the builds for more popular distros can be used with.

Still I went to the package repos for this distro and it appears virtualbox, or at least an older version thereof, is available

Depending upon what goes you might do better to go grab the source from virtualbox's open source version site and build it yourself.

No vmware that I could see, though it did seem to have a very much updated version of open-vm-tools to allow versions of solusos to be more seamlessly hosted within it.
