It's a rough port that was probably more of intended as a PoC port.

It will be interesting to see if someone does more with the idea of porting RetroArch to 3DS.

Libretro stated that they're working on the 3ds port but they aren't releasing any beta asap cuz is still early stages of develop.

Regarding RetroArch 3DS: it’s still very much a work-in-progress and I don’t think either me or aliaspider would feel comfortable to ship anything right now in terms of official release at this stage, and we need a lot of work done on the cores before we can render some of them playable on the slow 3DS (it’s even slower than the PSP it seems).
^^ I extracted this from the blog.

Now I'm stuck with another error: cannot push null or empty core into the playlist
Go into settings and disable audio. Might need to disable Vsync too.

The emulator is really weird right now. To get things running at normal speed, every time you start it up you need to disable audio and Vsync, then after you load the game, enter the settings menu and turn Vsync back on for as long as you're playing.

It's not like it's slower than what's supposed to, it simply doesn't boot.
It seems like it's missing the core for emulating GBA, not sure what to do though

Did you download a GBA bios file, name it gba_bios.bin and put it in SD:/retroarch/cores/system/
